Dipping my toes into social media argh ๐
I got to attend the Game Developers Conference this year in San Francisco thanks to @igdafoundation.org and this video collects some things I did while I was there including showcasing our upcoming game
@pippeppergame.bsky.social
On the left is an in-game screenshot of a small bird wearing a hard hat from the game Pip Pepper Park Planner with writing underneath "DLSS5 OFF". On the right is a realistic image of a Robin with a toy hard hat sitting on a human finger. It has stick figure style drawn on arms and legs.
DLSS5 Off /// DLSS5 On
The IGDA Foundation has so many fantastic programs and a great community.
Please consider applying if these seem interesting. The programs cater to a range of people at various stages of their careers in the games industry.

I only found out a couple of weeks ago the very cool @drjclau.bsky.social started this hashtag! Go follow and support them if you don't already.
Background is @igdafoundation.org who are also fantastic.
(Reposting because ofc I used the wrong hashtag the first time)
A promotional photo of a crochet plush toy character Pip Pepper, wearing a yellow hard hat and a sweater, looking towards the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco at dusk, which is visible in the background over green foliage. Hand-drawn cartoon characters are integrated into the photo: on the bridge tower and suspension cables are a brown deer, a small yellow mouse and a red snake with a construction hat. There is also a purple squid on the far right on the sea-level. Text at the top of the image in a large white, 3D text font with a thin black outline and shadow reads: "Pip Pepper Goes to GDC โ26!" Below "Pip Pepper" is a small green sign with a black border that says, "PARK PLANNER". The text font is bold and yellow with a thick black outline. On the right side of the image, there is a grid of four white blocks with logos for the: GDC Festival of Gaming with date and location March 9-13, 2026, San Francisco, CA bubble sort studios x GAME DEVS OF COLOR , POCKET GAMER CONNECTS SAN FRANCISCO SUMMIT 2026, VERTICAL SLICE. On the bottom right corner, text in a smaller white font says "Thank you", next to the logo of the "iGDA Foundation". Text below that reads "for making it possible" with a small heart icon.
Pip Pepper goes to GDC 2026! ๐๐ค

๐ฝ Weโll be Showcasing at the following local events:
A landscape-oriented promotional graphic for a Steam event features a split-screen design with vibrant, illustrated art. On the left, a blue grid background includes the Pip Pepper Park Planner logo and an illustrated round brown bird wearing a yellow hard hat. Below the bird, a bright pink banner reads "PLAY OUR DEMO" in bold white capital letters. The right side of the image features a dynamic, colorful illustration in shades of blue, purple, and pink, depicting a knight character with a sword facing a massive, glowing anime-like character's face in the background. Overlaid on this art is the text "WOMEN'S DAY SALE" followed by the subtitle "games by women-led studios". Across the bottom bar provides event details: Hosted on Steam , March 6th to 15th , Organized by WINGS.
Excited to share that Pip Pepper Park Planner is participating in the Womenโs Day Sale on Steam! โจ

Congratulations! The film is fantastic and part of why I found it so moving is because it feels so grounded in the science and messiness of reality. Congrats again!!

After about 5 years (!) of keeping secrets, I am so excited that Disney Pixar's Hoppers is finally coming out on March 6th!
Back in 2021, Pixar emailed me asking if I could give a talk about my research to their employees. Then another talk. And another.
