This was the same in the US. Pre-Pandemic We all joked about how kids were basically Petri dishes of germs. During the pandemic, schools are a magical place that shields children from any illness. And if they did get sick, well "immunity debt."
They still insist it's better now. It's delusional.

From a linguistic perspective, what really matters is interaction. Children develop vocabulary through meaningful communication: conversation at the dinner table, storytelling, collaborative play, & asking “why?” approximately 400 times before breakfast.

Lots of assistive features for braking, lane departure warnings, and collision mitigation may be helpful for seniors AND teens. I have both in my family that are in the market. 😱 A senior may one day need a home health aide to take them to appointments, etc. & will use the individual's car.

Please fix pathways for US educated SLPs. Accept US board exams and stop requiring dated syllabi from graduate programs--many of which are unavailable to experienced speech-language pathologists. Many would be happy to come if the pathway was reasonable.
