And also you can’t be back at work after six hours for example, there is a minimum amount of hours that have to pass before you can go back to work, but I can’t remember what is that.

In Germany, if you are at your workplace for more than 10 hours and an accident occurs, then your insurance doesn’t cover you. And that includes commuting back home. Perhaps there is something similar there that could be used as an argument?
