Today's the day! Headed to the hospital soon. Thanks for all the support lately; I'll be trying to think of all the wonderful art instead of scary surgery things.

There's a meme going around about this unreleased game because of its theme song. bsky.app/profile/game...
And this is just a random book I happened to find at an antique store. I didn't put it out in front, it was already like that :P

Kourtney

Owner: @Altermentality
Attack: Kutter Spin
Super Spike: Lore-Keeper
Type: Balanced
Speed: 4/10
Power: 5/10
Pass: 6/10
Spike: 6/10

When Crocodile Isle sunk to the bottom of the sea, so too did the history of the Kremlings. Kourtney has been trying to rectify that her entire life, chronicling the stories of her people, their history, and their culture in her Kremling Kronology. Now that she's free from the Planet Core, she has a LOT of writing to catch up on - in fact, she seems more interested in writing than actually playing. She's always jotting something down, but don't think that makes her helpless! She may have reformed a Kutlass sword into a pen, but a sword is still a sword, as the Kutter Spin technique will remind anyone in a circular radius around her. With a Super Spike, she can strike the ball with her scroll like a long (and rather educational) whip!

Kourtney has SO MUCH Kremling lore to catch up on since she was freed from the Planet Core that she's writing it all down during her Spikers League matches. Don't think that means she's a bad player though - that pen she's using doubles as a sword!

In this episode we checked out Nintendo Power coverage of DKC2! Put on your baseball cap with an image of Diddy pointing and revisit a time where a bunch of pirate crocodiles were hyped up as the coolest thing the human imagination can possibly produce. BECAUSE THEY ARE

Excerpt from a 2000 interview with Paper Mario chief director Ryota Kawade and Technical Support Hiroyasu Sasano, recently translated by shmuplations.com
-Were there any other locations you wanted to include?
Sasano: There were... if only we'd had more time.
Kawade: We were cutting it pretty close. We didn't waste anything, although some characters and party members did end up getting cut.
-What kind of characters were they?
Kawade: You know the Ninji characters? They appear in Chapter 7 in Starborn Valley. One of them was originally supposed to join your party when you first meet Merlee. It's a real shame we couldn't get him in because of time constraints.
Data in the game lists an unused partner known only as "Ninji Boy", with the only description of him being that he can "lower the block"
NINJI BOY? HE CAN LOWER THE BLOCK

Ninji Boy could possibly have used any of these five unused Ninji colorations found in the game, or even used all five similar to how Yoshi Kid has multiple colors in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. One thing is clear, however. Director Ryota Kawade really regrets not including Ninji Boy.

Previously, I have posted about an unused partner in Paper Mario known only as "Ninji Boy", with the only information about him being that he can "lower the block". A newly translated developer interview confirms that he was cut and that director Kawade really regrets not having him.

Low-resolution sprites of Altermentality's characters Katakomb (a tall yellow Kremling in archeologist gear), Kourtney (a Kremling with long hair, glasses and a Zinger hairpin), and Goldgills (a Salamandrian in pirate regalia holding a sword), drawn by Cameron Reigle in a style similar to the visuals in the game DK: King of Swing.

I thought the other two could use some company.
