🎙️ON AIR:
We're talking to wildfire experts about Trump's slashing of the Forest Service amid predictions of an early fire season, and about how you can prepare.
❓What are your questions about how wildfires are managed in California?
📻 Listen:
Map of the contiguous United States showing the spring bloom index anomaly as of April 19, 2026 from the USA National Phenology Network. Many areas are earlier than normal.
Aside from Florida, nearly the entire contiguous U.S. has experienced earlier than average first plant blooms in 2026. Earlier springs can cause longer allergy seasons, accelerate wildfire risk, increase pests/mosquitoes, and lead to less reliable snow-fed water.

The Presidio Trust is a national treasure.
The Trust was written into a law — authored by Nancy Pelosi and passed by a Republican Congress — it has received the same bipartisan support ever since.
President Trump’s continued partisan attacks on it must end.

Hydrologists described California's snowmelt the past three weeks as "unprecedented" and say the snowpack, already the lowest in more than a decade, will shrink further during a record-shattering heat wave next week. #CAwx
What the hell happened to you guys? It was a cover up. Your newspaper has becoming an effing joke
Another reminder of why the establishment wing of the Dem party is so hated
California's already poor snowpack is going to further shrink in the coming week as an unprecedented heat wave strikes the state.
Remember how to use #water carefully.
