Yeah, I'm not sure if I'm getting older and just being nostalgic but it has been a hot minute (around season 11 or so maybe) since the show had people compete that really feel like authentic personalities that didn't take out a loan and create a persona specifically for the show π

You know how people sometimes message you "can we talk?" or "check your mails" or something? A huge green flag I appreciate so much is when they add something like "it's nothing bad" or "just wanted to show you something." It's such a small thing that makes life so much less stressful.
I'm a certified horror remake enjoyer so I'm not even surprised that I liked The Craft: Legacy way more than most people π #filmsky #horrorsky

If you love shows with historical settings, watch Black Sails! It's one of the greats with Deadwood, Rome and Ripper Street π΄ββ οΈ
Actually a really cute idea π #filmsky
I requested a manual review for this one like half a year ago, it never happened
I see, so it's not a different rating, more about how we got there. Thanks π
I don't even get the meaning of it here, is there a "soft" R rating for films?

Republicans are using kids as a smokescreen for what Big Tech lobbyists want: a national surveillance program to harvest our data with zero protections for people and their privacy.
We must fight this dangerous expansion of surveillance technology.
I guess I didnβt wake up thinking I needed to know the names of the 279 named triremes β΅οΈin the 4th century BCE Athenian navy, but it appears we all do. link.springer.com/article/10.1... I do like that 3.58% had animal names like ΞΡονΟαΏ (lion skin) and ΞΞΞ±ΞΉΞ½Ξ± (lioness). Greek epigraphy is fun! πͺ¦
I'm so happy Steam Next Fest made demos hip again, it makes me a lil nostalgic for the time when gaming magazines came with demo DVDs π₯²
My faves from this Next Fest were Windrose, Far Far West, Wanderburg and Hozy π #gaming
You know how people who go against scientific consensus love to compare themselves to Galileo? I wrote about a cool new discovery that shows the real Galileo sat down and did the homework first. www.science.org/content/arti...
So, so proud of Amber Glenn π (and happy to hear CLANN at the #Olympics) #MilanoCortina2026
Amber Glenn skating to Madonna in Italy meant more than any jump - www.outsports.com/2026/2/17/24...
Just watched Japan's Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara skate the free skate of their lives after falling behind yesterday.
It was so incredible to go from watching their tears of sadness the day before to their tears of joy today.
From 5th to 1st.
One of the best skates I've ever seen in my life.

I'm not a fan of Malinin, not just because his skating isn't my cup of tea but more importantly cause of his homophobic comments & the whole charging fans to talk to an AI chat bot impersonating him thing but it was still hard not to feel bad for him, it was THAT disastrous.
That was wild, I guess the people who were worried about men's figure skating becoming too boring & predictable will breathe a sigh of relief. #figureskating #MilanoCortina2026

I really want to get into this game but the fact they lock a bunch of content behind a premium edition paywall is so frickin annoying π

Watching skating at the Olympics after both Yuzu and Shoma retired is kind of bittersweet. Feels like such a different world. I was still rooting for Team Japan (let's not get into the scoring ugh) but I'm super happy for Amber Glenn π (much less happy for the homophobe on her team but oh well)
I love librarians, I love mummies and I love a film where everyone clearly had a great time making it cause it's not taking itself too seriously π§‘
We watched 28 Years Later, was great. I love me some serene nature shots in horror films and boy, did this one deliver. I really want a David Attenborough zombie doc now π #filmsky #horrorsky

A Corinthian delight: three examples of ancient caricatures. The pyxis at the top shows a child-like Herakles drawing water from a fountain. On the lower left, a kylix depicting a woman playing the usually all-male drinking game kottabos. On the lower right, Artemis and her curious dog. πΊ 1/

Really not a fan of having to go through my Spotify Discover Weekly first to get the AI slop out now every week. The worst part is every time I block one of those "artists" Spotify's algo probably takes it as "play less from that genre" and not "play less AI slop" π
