.hack//SIGN magazine scan which has been cleaned up to remove text and page breaks. Mimiru and Subaru sit at a wooden table. They appear to be sitting on a patio over the ocean, perhaps at an open air cafe? Subaru is drinking hot tea from a tea cup, with a small tea pot off to the side. Mimiru is drinking iced tea with a straw shaped like a treble clef. Mimiru's sword is off to the side, against the metal fence and curtains. Subaru's axe is leaning against the table. Mimiru is smiling and gesturing with a wink. Subaru has both hands clasped around her teacup and seems to be very focused on what Mimiru is saying.

I've gotten a bit rusty, so I cleaned up this magazine scan to refresh my skills a bit.

Woah, you're right! Ty for pointing that out. I'm reminded of the first time I saw Helba and thought she was a dead ringer for Athena from Angelic Layer.
Wish it were easier to pinpoint design tropes, since it's usually based on vibes...which don't provide easy citation sources for the wiki. 😅

I always wondered if this mofo inspired the visor helmets for Helba, a bunch of digimon, and various other anime/game characters. (I mean...besides the ones in Gundam that are clearly meant to be his archetype, lol.)
