A group of pale pink Clematis flowers with four petals and yellow stamens
The nutmeg scented Clematis montana always reminds me of custard tarts #GardensHour 🌱
A view of a garden with a pale blue shed with a pink Clematis growing above the door. There are lots of lollypop shaped shrubs, white flowers & tulips.
Every so often I train the rampant Clematis montana across a wire from the fence to the shed. It looks nice but getting into the shed can get a bit tricky sometimes! #GardensHour 🌱
Weirdly, he does - peat free and organic! #GardensHour
A cute, feathered long tailed tit with a white face, a small black beak & a black stripe above the eye, peering through a window.
👋 Evening all. The milkman delivered two bags of compost this morning so I'll be potting on seedlings soon. The long tailed tits have been bringing joy in the garden lately, looking for spiders on the window frames #GardensHour 🌱
🌱Before I head back out into the mud from another round of torrential rains, was fun to scroll through so many cheerful #SixOnSaturday posts & blogs.❤️ Here are some Narcissus - Daffodils - still going strong after all the heat, wind & non-stop pummeling from the elements!💪
Very much a spring themed #SixOnSaturday, but with a hint of the summer approaching. We have Tulips, Cherry Blossom, Bluebells and the first Rose flower.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Collage of garden images showing bluebells, tulips, pansies, apple blossom and horse chestnut saplings. There is a blue sky and a spring vibe
A garden with a green lawn surrounded by shrubs, trees and flowers. There's a garden bench catching the sun, and a cat sat on the bench.
Six on Saturday freshly picked on a bright spring morning in a Somerset #garden
The bluebells, tulips and grannies bonnets glistened in the sunshine and the 'magic seeds' from the horse chestnut have sprouted into baby conker trees.
By eight the sun was on the bench, and so was the cat.
#SixOnSaturday is a six foot shedded snake skin, snapdragons, lazy lizard, Yuzu fruit forming, a very old Azalea and purple Phlox. #HappySaturday

Six pics from my garden this week, a nearly fully formed aquilegia flower bud, (looking like the eagles talons from which it gets its name), red wallflowers, white starbursts of wild garlic, a red and white vampire tulip, variagated green hosta foliage and the first red saxifrage flower. Thanks for reading.
Morning all, ah the sweetness of spring, after months of struggling to find #SixOnSaturday to share from my garden, suddenly the difficulty becomes "which six?" Have a good weekend sky-folk 🌱

It's been really good, but rather violent at times. Cliffhangers galore!
There had better be a 4th and final series of #TheCapture after that ending!
This week’s #SixOnSaturday really highlights how much the gardens are starting to come alive. We have a couple more Tulips, Bergenia, a Bee feeding off a Choiysa, Lilac and Cherry Blossom.
Have a great weekend all!

A collage of six photographs of flowers, comprising: a cluster of creamy white daffodils with rounded petals and pale yellow trumpet-like centres; a mass of pink-red five petalled flowers with white, almost square like centres; a border full of tulips of various colours, including yellow ruffled almost rose-like flowers, slim, pointed orange and dark purple flowers - a few pale blue bell-like bluebell flowers in the foreground; a spire of pale blue star-like flowers with yellow-tipped stamens; two mellow yellow ruffly looking daffodils with dark orange centres, resembling a broken egg yolk.
In today's #SixOnSaturday... a 'Silver Chimes' Narcissus, Saxifraga, Tulips, Cercis chinensis 'Avondale,' Camassia, and a cheery 'Tahiti' onemanandhisgardentrowel.wordpress.com/2026/04/11/s... 🌱
😂 Very good!
A border of dark red purple, yellow and pink Tulips
I almost feel tempted to tiptoe through this lot but know I'd flatten most of them with my size 12 feet! #TulipTuesday 🌱
Someone shared the story behind the Bleeding Hearts name, with photos of all the parts in one of the comments. Fascinating stuff.
Wow! I've not seen that before.
😄
A white cherry blossom flower with pink stamens and small purple leaves
A new addition to the garden, the Purple-leaf sand cherry has just started to flower #GardensHour 🌱
Will do. At the moment she's having none of their odd, leany circling wooing ways! #GardensHour
Pink and white flowers resembling turtles, diving downwards.
The Bleeding Heart plant always reminds me of turtles with pink shells, flippers white heads & necks & eyes. I always call it the Diving Turtles plant! #GardensHour 🌱
Small dark blue star-like flowers with thin white stripes.
Evening all. April seems to be hedgehog courting season. Just been watching 3 hedgehogs in the garden. It turns out our resident hedgehog is a female so we may have hoglets next month possibly - if she choses a suitor. It's also Omphalode time! #GardensHour 🌱
