A bottle of 2022 Goisot Aligoté with a glass of white wine

Sometimes you want to open a new, unknown bottle and explore it fully. And sometimes you want to sit back with a familiar favorite. 😊 The Goisot Aligoté is one of my consistent favorites. I highly recommend it. It’s a great “relax on the sofa” wine. 😊 #winesky #aligote #bourgogne

Sorrentino Vini | Wine Tour | Boscotrecase Campania Sorrentino vini è una azienda vinicola specializzata nei wine tour e nella produzione di vini.

The woman who runs the wine club I'm in with Rosciolli recommended three wineries near Naples: Cantina Matrone, Cantina Sorrentino, and Cantine Olivella. So far I've only found official tastings/experiences at Cantina Sorrentino. But Olivella produces one of my favorite wines from the wine club.

Palazzo Petrucci - Ristorante Pizzeria Napoli Palazzo Petrucci nasce nel 2007 nei locali del palazzo storico di piazza San Domenico Maggiore.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a local. And the last time I was in Naples, I had pizza that made me literally teary-eyed emotional at Gino e Toto Sorbillo.

I think you all are spying on my travel plans. Last month you did a Greco di Tufo episode, and I told you I was going to Campania. Where an I going from there? Orvieto. 🧐😆 I can’t wait! Where will your Italy adventure take you? Happy to recommend wine/wineries if I can. 😊

Bottle of Château Yvonne 2022 Saumur Blanc with a glass of white wine

Bottle of Château Yvonne 2022 Saumur Blanc with a glass of white wine

Château Yvonne 2022 Saumur Blanc - light bodied to the eyes but FAR more complex on the nose and palate. Lemon, apple, pear, and a touch of honey, dry and acidic. Makes me want to clap my hands like Maggie Smith in “Gosford Park” and say “Yummy yummy yummy!” #winesky #loirecheninblanc #kogodwineclub

Opened a bottle for a lovely spontaneous visit with a neighbor. Vincent Pinard Florés Sancerre 2022. Much lighter in intensity and body than expected. Consistent on the nose and palate - apple, pear, lemon, and wet stones, plus lemongrass on the palate. Kogod Wine Club selection. #winesky #whitewine

He said it repeatedly. She warned us about what he was saying. Maybe it’s time for the American voters to FUCKING LISTEN during campaigns.

Here’s a thought… Someday instead of looking back and saying, “Oh, the woman who lost the election was right on all of her warnings about her opponent,” maybe we should…I don’t know…elect the woman? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bottle of Giarrocco Diogene 2022 Cesarese del Piglio wine next to a glass with some of the red wine in it

Opened a REALLY interesting bottle tonight. Cesarese del Piglio, which was a new wine for me. Aged in amphora. Roscioli Wine Club bought the whole amphora to create a private 1500 bottle collection. Unfiltered, so it has sediment. But it is otherwise a fresh, crisp wine. Easy and drinkable! #winesky

When I get this balanced a little better, I’ll release the other hounds. Especially since I still drink white and rosé more than red. 😊

Your directive may change after my upcoming trip. I’m likely to be bringing home a lot of Greco di Tufo and Orvieto. 😁

People were renditioned to Venezuela simply because they have tattoos. Not gang tattoos. Just…tattoos.

In totally unrelated news, our current Triple Sec Def has white supremacy tattoos. So… 🤨

Not funny at all, while also absolutely hilarious. 😆

“What’s worse: Republicans or what Republicans mutated into?” I feel like this isn’t the flex he thinks it is… 🙄

I first experienced a French Malbec in the pandemic wine club with my local wine bar. It was WOW! I've been meaning to get more. I should get on that... 😀

On the palate it is less sweet and the fruits go darker, adding in some plum and a touch of raisin. Dry, medium-bodied, high acid to the point of zingy. 😋 I love a Montepulciano grape turned into a cherry-inspired wine. Overall review: Yummy! 😋 #winesky #italianwine #abruzzowine #roséeveryday

A glass of deep rosé wine next to a dish of pasta marinara with vegetarian meatballs

I wanted a hearty pasta marinara with vegetarian meatballs for dinner, but didn’t feel like opening a bottle of red. This chewy, hefty rosé was a great alternative. Torre Dei Beati Cerasuolo D’Abruzzo 2022. Juicy and sweet on the nose, notes of strawberry, cherry, cranberry, and a touch of honey.

Exactly! Even if we eventually find out they ALL committed crimes, that would not make sending them to a country they are not from into a for-profit forced labor prison without any due process okay! And they were not “deported”, since that would involve sending them back to their country of origin.

After countless years of conservative men declaring themselves alphas and crowing about liberal cucks, they sure are all folding like origami anytime Trump pouts and makes threats. Fragile masculinity is going to be the death of us all.

@tips2liveby.bsky.social I actually felt honored that I got a shout out in the same episode you did. (The most recent Trader Joe’s wine episode.) I felt like such an insider! 😁 I think you may also be how I found their podcast, so thank you!

I recently found this podcast and love it. It is light and fun, but also informative. Perfect listening in these stressful times. And when I replied to one of their eps with, “Don’t at me, bro!” they gave me a fun shout out on a later episode. 😆 This ep was perfect for my upcoming trip to Naples. 😊

If a guy imposes tariffs because he doesn’t understand how they work, are they just sparkling taxes?

Chuck Schumer would rather sell books about fighting antisemitism than fight the antisemites who are dismantling liberal democracy, which is the only thing that protects us as Jews in the diaspora.

This right here is exactly it. I have been a loyal Democrat my entire life. The current "leadership" of the party is not representing me, this country, or our democracy in an effective way. It is time to stop worrying about decorum and start worrying about the survival of the country.

I fell a bit behind on podcasts, so I just saw this one. I’ve been drinking Greco di Tufo fairly regularly lately because I’m going to Campania at the end of May, and already have plans to visit a couple of wineries. 😊 There are some GOOD wines in that region! I’m so happy you all explored them!
