Now that the Michael Jackson biopic is upon us, I was just thinking what an easy ride Jimmy Savile would have been given if he'd been a song and dance man.

Can’t fucking wait.

I also look back at 90s cinema fondly. 100 minute, mid-budget thrillers packed them into cinemas. Usual Suspects, etc. Now those kinds of films would be a bloated 10 episode Netflix series, with episode 7 devoted to the backstory of an unimportant supporting character.

Coachella is trying to wipe all of the footage of The Strokes protest set so I’m gonna post it here. The last images on the screen made me cry.

A reminder that we did this.

(And had to pay Mirror Group Newspapers for the copyright of the text, one of the finest rights payments I’ve ever approved.)

In times such as this I take comfort from the Bible, particularly Leviticus 12:17 - Zed’s dead, baby, Zed’s dead.

Thanks to the Financial Times for a glowing review of my new novel, SARAFINA. Reviews and word of mouth have been amazing and I'm so grateful. Hope folks will grab a copy!

I ditched Copilot for Claude in Microsoft Word — and I’m never going back It takes less than five minutes to set up, but the difference in output quality makes Copilot feel like a relic of the past

You know if you learn to write you don't need either

It’s a great book, isn’t it? I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve read it. He wrote a sequel too, BACK TO THE BADLANDS. A really great read too, but the first one gave me everything I wanted as a crime reader at the time.

Every time Farage turns up in the media the public should be reminded that he described Trump as the bravest man he’d ever met. As loudly as possible.

That may be one of the greatest ideas you’ve ever had.

Does Shend count? He was in Torchwood too.

Oh fuck. It’s such a shame for lots of reasons but also as he was just being rediscovered by a new readership.

He is indeed! Loved the last one.

Not nice, is it, Anthropic, when cunts steal your work without paying for it?

Perhaps if we renamed ChatGPT as OnlyCunts in honour of those who use it, that might decrease its popularity?
