This year, Family Day at the Rink was held on February 22nd when colder weather allowed for better ice conditions. The event featured horse-drawn wagon rides, a bonfire, skating, live music, and a community meal prepared by the Pagnotta-Mannarino family.

The outdoor Lunar New Year parade organized by the Chinatown BIA was cancelled this year due to cold weather, so all of the celebrations took place at the RAM on February 22. However, the BIA arranged for Lion Dance teams to bless businesses along 97th Street and area.

The International Festival of Winter Cinema is happening in Laurier Park alongside the Silver Skate Festival, and the final evening on Sun. Feb. 15 features an evening of women filmmakers including my music video "To All Who Are Concerned." Films start around 5 and go to around 8.
