A group of individuals stands in a wooded area, listening to a person wearing a park ranger uniform speaking. The image has a text overlay saying, "Historians are everywhere, working on an incredible range of topics." The bottom displays the logo of the American Historical Association and the hashtag #TalkAboutHumanities.

We are looking at the Chapel through a carved oak screen. Beyond is a space bathed in soft light with sunlight coming through the large stained glass window reflecting on the brick tiled floor and teal coloured pews.
Although our chapel is medieval, much of what you see is later (mostly 17th century).
However there are some exceptions like this beautifully carved oak screen which dates to when the chapel was built in 1411.
Just think of all the people who have peeked through here!

There is mirth and job where there is health and liberty...the air is wholesome and the sky comfortable, the flowers odiferous and the fruit pleasant: I conclude it is a day of much delightfulness: the sunโs dancing day and the Earthโs holiday.
