Opening doors to STEM Futures with MUSICC MUSICC ran a workshop on public engagement design and STEM careers with Year 12 students, as part of the STEM Futures programme.

We loved spending the day with Year 12 students on Imperial College London’s STEM Futures programme, exploring how to communicate the MUSICC project and its aims.

From interpreting messages to designing t-shirts, their ideas were brilliant.

When Angela Rayner underpaid £40,000 in stamp duty, Richard Tice said it was "morally completely indefensible” and she should resign if she had “any moral decency”.

Now we learn he set up four shell companies that let him avoid paying £100,000 he owed in tax and to then transfer the cash to Reform

Heat pumps are the most efficient heating technology ever invented.

They harvest and compress pre existing heat in the air, ground or water and transport it where it is needed.

That energy is all around us.

And it does not have to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

World’s largest offshore wind farm is getting plugged in Hornsea 3 – a vast, offshore, wind farm project – has reached Norfolk, as renewables cut costs and reduce reliance on gas

When gas prices spike after Trump's Iran war, renewables step in and cut the cost.

Now the largest offshore wind farm in the world has just reached Norfolk.

So why does Reform UK double down on fossil fuels?

Reform UK donor linked to sanctioned Iranian conglomerate A churchwarden behind a £200,000 gift to Nigel Farage’s party is the director of a company cited in French intelligence memos

A tiny firm - so small it doesn’t have to publish audited accounts - with £81k in cash made 7 donations totalling £200k to Reform UK.

We now know the firm has had long-term dealings in Iran, including a €145m deal with the Iranian state-owned telecoms company.

Reform have more questions to answer.

Mucosal immunity: The next frontier in pandemic preparedness – MUSICC Mucosal immunity could greatly reduce transmission of respiratory viruses. Why is this vital for future vaccines and pandemic preparedness?

Most vaccines protect us from severe disease but don’t fully stop respiratory viruses from spreading. Mucosal immunity could change that by impacting infection right at the nose and airways.

Our new article breaks down the science and showcases how MUSICC is pushing this frontier forward. 🧪

Britain breaks solar energy record twice as UK’s biggest solar farm gets approval Record high set on Monday and raised on Tuesday, with 14.4GW of electricity generated in sunny spring weather

Clean, safe, cheap, renewable energy that you don't have to fight deadly wars or destroy the environment to get.

Good for wildlife, too, when done properly.

It’s not just about those who’ve driven dangerously, it’s about those who should not drive due to health and face giving their license up with horror, due to perceived loss of independence.

We need to design our towns and cities so driving is optional #ActiveTravel

I've actually started using these rants for my formal teaching too. Give the trainees the choice of what they want to talk about and then we talk about the nuance of decision making and why some consultants differ. Good feedback so far.

The FPTP system is dangerous. We could have a Reform (aka far right) landslide next time. You can kiss the NHS goodbye if that happens.

I understand why a party in power would be wary of proportional representation, but isn’t it the most sensible system at multiple levels?
