We're proud to see #MEDem mentioned in the latest @jcms-eu.bsky.social article by Richard Whitaker, @sofiavasilopoulou.bsky.social & @kgattermann.bsky.social! The authors call for coordinated survey design—ideally within the MEDem framework—to better link data across studies and time. 📊🔗🇪🇺

It's hard to celebrate anything these days, but I've been waiting for this one for too long. Jim Adams, Sam Merrill and I are happy to present our issue salience simulations model. With @britishelectionstudy.com data we show how much issue salience matters in elections.

Excellent idea, thank you :)
Thank you 😀
In sum, we need to revisit the commonly-held distinction between ‘losers’ (poor) and ‘winners’ (rich) of globalisation, which conceals a third type of region in which institutional distrust is more pronounced.
EU trust is likely to be higher among poorer and middle-income European regions that are experiencing growth compared to rich regions that are experiencing growth.
Larger regional economic growth is associated with higher levels of trust in the EU.
Using Eurobarometer data, we show that that the relationship between regional inequality and EU trust is not linear. Poor and rich European regions tend to trust the EU more compared to middle-income European regions.
#polisky Publication alert! 🎉
