um i guess if this is perceived I didn't mean level "requirement", the most important requirement by like half an order of magnitude is that the person be one of our mutuals

oh absolutely. i could discord lfg someone that meets my level requirements but my friend is quite offput to that :P

i really just don't want to be perceived by anyone except for bsky mutuals that will see this naturally. if I get a bit more desperate I'll broaden the search ^^

looking for 1 Mar*thon player for Outpost trios tonight (6-11PM EST ish) as well as Cryo Archive runs on Saturday (12PM EST til late, probably with a break in the middle). looking for patient play and good comms. my friend and I are levels 75 and 50 respectively. let's lose everything together :)

stuff like POOTIS ENGAGE and Team Fabulous 2 (RIP kitty) are also incredible, but they're pretty all-in on the humour and leverage the jankiness of the medium to their benefit, requiring some buy-in. this is just a good-ass movie. it stole a lot of DNA from a lot of places, but puts it together well

fantastic. I never would have thought that SFM could come this far. this is unlikely to ever be surpassed as far as SFM cinematic experiences. if you played TF2 enough as a youngster that you learned a bit of the lore, this is 100% worth your time. so many references to great films, too.

The cube community would be a shadow of it's current self without Gwen Dekker. From filling a CubeTutor-sized-hole with CubeCobra, to helping create events like BCP & #Shoebox, to building Hedron Network, and enabling cube events across numerous countries. Calling Gwen a pillar of the community-

absolutely worth a watch if you haven't already. if only I'd seen this film ten years ago, while I was still in my "download parts of my personality from media" era. and this film has bumped Rocky Horror Picture Show way up in my list of things to experience.

this movie was fantastic. coming-of-age films are some of my biggest guilty pleasures. it is a bit annoying to see myself lacking in various experiences when compared to a fictional character half my age. but that's what I get for living inside of my head so frequently, I guess?

I'm not sure I've ever watched or read anything paced quite like it. I like the way it plays with characters' perspectives. and the last big climactic moment the mc gets is just wonderfully bizarre and an extremely bold and eccentric choice of "payoff" for the character's growth.

the storytelling path the show takes is absolutely bizarre to me, but very effectively illustrates the main character's metamorphosis away from self-centeredness. the show definitely embodies the full proverb it's titled after (which really hooked me since I didn't know the whole thing til the end).

the show had some great imagery and lovely colours, but... god... it's so Anime. I only have so many over-the-top OISHIIIIIIIs left in me T_T

it's hard to pin down my feelings on Japanese culture (if I am to assume the serious bits of show accurately represents said culture). it... simply Is.

the last "slice of life" I watched in this vein was Your Lie in April, almost 10 years ago. this didn't really tug at my heartstrings in the same way, but maybe that's because I'm older.

before we recommend it - absolutely.

growing up means killing your darlings, right?

I think it's totally okay to shut your eyes and go lalala and play in the sandbox, even as an adult - just be self aware of it and do it with other people who are on the same page. dont track sand back inside.
