All That Remains by Sue Black is a fascinating and surprisingly heartfelt look at the work of forensic anthropology. She balances real case experiences with personal reflections, making the science feel accessible and deeply human.

Outlaw Blood by Noah J. Matthews is a creative mix of fantasy & Western storytelling that offers a fresh take on the outlaw journey. The novel follows Clye Galler, a man haunted by his past who is searching for redemption in a harsh desert world shaped by danger, magic, and moral conflict.

I would agree. I really liked it. Book follows the series pretty well

I tried something different with this book. At then end of each chapter I tried to summarize the chapter in a few bullet points, but also added a few questions that I still had and areas of further reading and research.
Do you annotate? How do you do it?

Just finished a buddy read with my daughter. This was a great historical fiction book based on the real Hitler Youth camp called Camp Nordland in Newark New Jersey.
Agreat historical fiction book to learn more about just how prevalent antisemitism was leading up to WW2 in America.

I am starting Manhunt today. I am jumping into the Presidential Book Club for this book. It’s a great book club go check it out on Fable.
I am excited to read this one since I watched the series on Apple TV a few months back when it premiered.

Imagine getting a front row seat to one of the most dangerous political transformations in modern history. Not after it happened, but while it was unfolding day by day.
If you have read this book , and have some impressions on it, let me in the comments.

I just finished this book, and it was great. This was an interesting take on the first year or so of the Nazi take over of Germany. The tension throughout this book tights as the months move forward.
I will have a full review up soon. Have you read In the Garden of Beasts?
#histbookchat
I can’t put this book down. I really enjoy the magnification of a small time line which this book does. But I also enjoy the first hand accounts of the beginnings of the Nazi takeover of Germany.
What are you reading today?

My current read for the day is a book that I have been excited to read for awhile. I am a big fan of Buddy Levy. Realm of Ice and Sky is supposed to be a great narrative history thriller.
I am enjoying this with an iced Shaken espresso.

I had a great reading experience in February. I have deliberately slowed down reading to spend more time in the books I am reading. I am learning and retaining so much more.
How did your reading experience go in February?
