Am Dienstag, dem 13. Januar, erreicht Christian Schmidt eine ungewöhnliche Nachricht. »Überlegungen für ergänzende Kriterien zur 10h-Regel« steht in dem Text an den Abteilungsleiter Strom im Bundeswirtschaftsministerium (BMWE). Gleich darunter sind fünf Vorschläge gelistet, die Batteriespeicher im Rahmen der sogenannten Kraftwerksstrategie fast unmöglich machen dürften. Absender der Nachricht ist Holger Schäfer, der Cheflobbyist von EnBW. Der Energiekonzern will in Deutschland neue Gaskraftwerke bauen und betreiben, ebenfalls im Rahmen der Kraftwerksstrategie. Batteriespeicher sind die Hauptkonkurrenz dafür. An Schäfers Textnachricht ist manches seltsam. Zum Beispiel, dass sie nicht auf Initiative von EnBW erstellt worden ist - sondern »auf ein Ersuchen des Ministeriums«. So schreibt es EnBW dem SPIEGEL, und auch das Ministerium dementiert es auf mehrfache Anfrage nicht. Schäfers »Uberlegungen« waren also kein Lobby-Impuls - sondern eine Auftragsarbeit. Und zwar eine ziemlich einseitige. Wirtschaftsministerin Katherina Reiche (CDU) wird eine zu große Nähe zur fossilen Energiewirtschaft nachgesagt.
Das Gesetz, um das es geht, nennt sich Kraftwerkssicherheitsgesetz. Es soll nicht weniger als eine sichere, zukunftsfähige Stromversorgung ermöglichen. Deutschlands Energiekonzerne planen, in den kommenden Jahren ihre Kohlekraftwerke abzuschalten, dem Klima zuliebe. Erneuerbare Energien sollen die Stromlücke schließen. Doch Windkraft- und Solaranlagen liefern nicht durchgehend Elektrizität. Es braucht also ein Backup für windstille, sonnenarme Zeiten. Das aber wird nicht von allein entstehen. Denn die entsprechenden Anlagen sollen nur einspringen, wenn der Strom knapp wird. Im Idealfall also möglichst selten - was die potenziellen Einnahmen der Betreiber arg begrenzt. Der Staat will den Bau des Back-ups daher fördern. Interessierte Firmen sollen sich in speziellen Auktionen bewerben. Der Markt, der da entsteht, ist milliardenschwer. Und es drängen im Kern nur zwei Player auf ihn: Gaskraftwerke und Batteriespeicher. Wer davon bei den geplanten Auktionen gewinnt, hängt stark von deren Rahmenbedingungen ab. Genau diese definieren Reiches Leute gerade im Kraftwerkssicherheitsgesetz. Und genau dafür hat EnBW-Lobbyist Schäfer dem Ministerium Input geschickt.

I'm totally biased on this but I think it's wonderful that we now have official NeurIPS parallel satellite events. Parallelization was the trick that allowed us to scale to large data and models. It makes sense to try it for conferences as the community grows.

Man muss sogar darauf hinweisen, wenn man einen klaren Kopf behalten will, alles andere wäre eine Schieflage. Die Politisierung der Reaktionen auf diesen und nur diesen der kürzlichen politischen Morde in den USA passiert ja nicht in einem Vakuum.
Ihre Position schien vorher noch zu sein, dass etwa unsachlich und nicht objektiv sei, dass er extreme Ansichten vertritt und menschenverachtende Meinungen hat.
Beides lässt sich belegen, bzw nicht sachlicherweise von der Hand weisen. Sie fordern, aber haben selbst kein Argument vorgebracht. Oder?
Empfehle diese Lektüre.
Wer solche Haltungen für gemäßigtes rechtes Spektrum hält, sollte sich nicht mehr weiter bemühen sich naiv zu stellen und sympathisiert selbst mit Rechtsextremismus.
