After being extremely cryptic about the new hardware project I'm working on in my last "photo of my monitor" post, here's a hopefully less cryptic one. Now that more things are working, here's a clue that is hopefully a little more obvious about what it is:

BlueSCSI log showing it automatcially configuring RAW SD partitions when no images are found.

User came on Discord today complaining how hard it was to configure RAW mode on BlueSCSI - they were right! So I automated it all.

Seems samplers users like the RAW partitioned SD workflow instead of images.

This also allows you to pop in a SCSI2SD card into your BlueSCSI for a easy upgrade.

AS/400 DST / BlueScsi Proof of concept YouTube video by Kevin Moonlight

.@yyzkevin.ca has been working on making #BlueSCSI the first #SCSI emulator to work with the odd IBM AS/400 drive standard. Here's his AS/400 booting IPL'ing with a BlueSCSI!

Still a lot to do but now even AS/400 users can have a modern, fully opensource, storage solution.

Last night I experimented with CDROM emulation on PicoGUS using iso or bin/cue on a USB stick, using code from yyzkevin. I first thought RP2040’s USB would be too slow but after seeing the Pico ODE for 3DO that emulates the same MKE interface, I have newfound confidence that it will be fast enough.
