Way ahead of you here in NZ we did it last week!
God is good. And when I say god I mean medicinal, legal cannabis.
I’m putting my undiagnosed adhd into good use by analysing my life story with this new safe emotional mode and hell, it’s working. I’m half private investigator and half therapist. Untangling both my parents and my own behavioural patterns. This was not on my bingo card.
Now I feel happy and sane. And I have enough resilience to reflect on my life and the lives of my family. I have just enough distance to not be hurt by my own thinking. Is this how everyone else lives? My emotions are observed but not crippling. It’s amazing. Should have done it years ago.
In january i doubled ny anti depressant dose. I was struggling having lost my brother, and step mother in August and I left a bad work situation in November. It was the right thing to do to keep me alive.

Public ratings of government performance have reached another new low in the latest IPSOS Issues Monitor survey. The government rating of 3.9 out of 10 is the lowest since the survey began in September 2017, and reflects about 45 percent of respondents giving between 0 and 3. Another 31 percent gave a rating of 4-6, while 23 percent gave 7-10, and 2 percent said they didn't know. The government previously dipped to 4.2 in the February survey, hovering around the same level in May and August.
The Labour Party is rated as more capable of managing seven of the top eight concerns for New Zealanders. Labour leads National on the issues of inflation/cost of living, healthcare, the economy, housing, unemployment, and poverty/inequality. The National Party is considered more capable of handling only one issue: crime/law & order. This poll marks the first time since 2021 that Labour has been considered more able to handle the cost of living and the economy.
The "Wrong track" sentiment consistently polled higher than the "Right Direction" sentiment across all months shown. The "Wrong track" opinion peaked at 62% in October 2023, just before a noted "Change in government". The "Right Direction" opinion reached its lowest point at 38% in October 2023. After the government change, the "Wrong track" percentage decreased from its peak, while the "Right Direction" percentage increased.
Labour is seen as most capable of managing 9 out of 13 listed issues, including education, race relations, drug/alcohol abuse, taxation, household debt, population, transport, and petrol prices. The Green Party is viewed as most capable of managing climate change and environmental pollution/water concerns. National is considered most capable of handling defence/foreign affairs/terrorism. Te Pati Māori is seen as most capable of managing issues facing Māori.

Walking to work in London and being hit by a thump of culture shock. It’s amazing how many people are commuting to work on public bicycles here! Inspiring, really!

Nobody wants this, but it’s about genocide.
Yellow text over a black and white drawing of a scene from the Christmas Carol reads: UNIONS- BECAUSE THE ODDS OF 3 GHOSTS VISITING YOUR BOSS TO MAKE HIM DO THE RIGHT THING ARE VERY SLIM..•
Happy Labour Day Aotearoa. #nzpol
One final bit of good news - 234600 people across the motu voted to remove Māori wards, 245800 to keep them - 51.1% of all votes were to keep them, 48.9% not to. The majority of the country that voted were in favour so suck it coalition!
Can you fix bikes, puncture repair or help out with our big bike fix up? Get in touch!

Aotearoa New Zealand,
Everywhere that Chris Luxon, David Seymour, Winston Peters or any CoC-up govt MPs turn up, I want you to #TurnYourBacks. Give your back to them and their cameras. Do it for Palestine!
If they're speaking, turn your back. If they enter any room, turn your back!

Grieving is weird when you’re numbed on anti-d’s. Any one experienced this?
The next time someone tells you adding good bike infrastructure will disadvantage disabled people, show them this short clip of an Utrecht bike street (fietsstraat).
Controlling cars makes access better for everyone, and opens public space to more of the public.
Māori born overseas should 100% be automatically citizens here. Colonisers keep colonising 🤬
Beware of those promising low rates, and those that have signed pledges. It’s against their rules to do so as everything must be considered at the table, not before.
Hot take of the day: some people don’t deserve lemon trees.
My brother used to have a “piggy” bank just like this.
How did you smash capitalism today? I volunteered at my local bicycle charity, giving free bikes away. #smashcapsdaily
