A cast photo of the Tantalids cast and crew
Clytemnestra wearing the tapestry of the house of Atreus with a sword and a crown like the one found by Schliemann
Come see Tantalids tonight and tomorrow at the Blackbox on Main Street Landing in Burlington, VT
A black sky with a total solar eclipse in the center, the sun is fully covered by the moon, creating a black circle surrounded by a white-yellow hall of the coronis.
A dark sky with a lightening horizon during the total solar eclipse as the totality ends, a scraggly tree is the foreground with the sun a blurry circle in the background.
The total solar eclipse in Burlington was amazing!

A poster in desaturated purple tones with an illustrated black lions gate of Mycenae in the background, a bloody porcelain lions foot tub in the foreground with a maroon-maybe cloth spilling out, a large title “Tantalids” across the center with white text spattered with blood with the subtitle “a UVM Classics Production” beneath it, the text “Here the royal house of the Tantalids take their crowns” at the bottom. The text “Tickets: recommended $10 donation, SAT 4/13 @ 2 PM, SAT 4/13 @ 7 PM, SUN 4/14 @ 2 PM” is in the top right corner, a QR code is in the top left corner.
Come see the UVM spring play: Tantalids! From 4/13-14 in Burlington, VT. I have been working with Vanessa Stovall and Jeannette Chien to create this mashup of the Agamemnon and Thyestes!
So I’ll be at CANE again this weekend! I’m presenting on a catalog of Hesiod’s epithets in the Theogony in Session 3A under the title ‘Intricate Invocations: Hesiod’s novel use of epithets’. I’d love to meet up with folks while there!
If comprehensive exams kill me, I want it written on my grave.
AIASCS folks, the Lysistrata CAMP performance is in 45 minutes, come check us out!
Hey AIASCS folks! If you are looking for a feed like the twitter hashtag we normally had, I have attempted to make one here: bsky.app/profile/did:...
Please let me know if there are any issues or you've got tags suggestions!

Hey so I just made a feed for folks to use here: bsky.app/profile/did:...
People can let me know if it works or if there's issues!
I have felt the loss of twitter community a lot over the last few weeks. Many friends and colleagues are still there, but the idea of it being a centralized forum has greatly diminished. Tweeting through SCS is one of the ways I got my start. And now where are we?
Does anyone know what a good digital Attic prosopography site is? Trying to do some research around the Pelop. War period but most of the links I see are dead ending… ClassicsBluesky

I'm completing the SCS ballot and remembered that we don't have a professional code of ethics, just a statement on professional ethics. Why do we not have a code of ethics like the Society for American Archaeology? Something for individual ethical responsibility #ClassicsTwitter
Will do! I’ve used TinyCat as I’ve mentioned for things like personal libraries and it works fine but isn’t great for situations across multiple rooms as far as I can tell. So hopefully someone will have a better suggestion!
With the Classics department having moved over the summer, I want to create a functional catalog of the books in the seminar room and offices. Currently planning on using LibraryThing/tinyCat but are there any other suggestions for free or cheap library catalog softwares/web apps? ClassicsBluesky
