ICE has to be dismantled
And guilty ICE personnel should be prosecuted.
"[Republicans] have overlooked [Trump's] mental disorders in the past— dismissed them. They've overlooked his depravity. They've overlooked the fact that he is an adjudicated sexual abuser. That he's a convicted criminal ... Because it served their purposes. It no longer serves their purposes."
The current STOCK Act only assigned a $200 fine for failure to disclose a $1000+ trade. That's low enough to be considered an "investment fee." When the repercussions are too low, it doesn't discourage bad behavior. How many more examples of corporate misbehavior do they need to learn that lesson?
When I first introduced my bill to ban stock trading in Congress 5 years ago, only a handful joined us.
Since then, we’ve built a movement of bipartisan reformers committed to ending the corruption once and for all.
The time is now Speaker Johnson.
Put the bill on the floor.
“The EU’s highest court has found Hungary’s anti-LGBTQ+ law to be discriminatory, stigmatising and in breach of basic democratic values…”
This is a crucial decision. The court rejected the political claim that LGBTQ+ representation is “propaganda.” We must keep fighting politics that dehumanise us.
The BBC Earth cable channel has a series out now titled “Human” that looks at when and how people spread out of Africa, our connection with Neanderthals, how changing climate influenced movements of early humans - very interesting !
We have about 25% of our DNA in common with the mildew on the bathroom wall. It puts things in perspective
Check out Adam Rutherford’s book “How to Argue with a Racist” - he’s great on this
Never ceases to amaze me that people will read and watch science fiction with sentient colors and squid people and androids....
Then get all bothered by the presence of a woman or a black person.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker has signed an executive order banning state employees from using insider info to bet on prediction market apps like Kalshi and Polymarket, warning the unregulated boom “opens the door to insider trading and abuse.”

Spent Saturday with President Obama and New York's Cutest — turns out my first name is Mayor and I need to be doing more squats.
Here’s to building a City where families can thrive and every classroom is full of this much joy.
The DOJ is now 5 month in breach of releasing the Epstein files.
Holding these criminals accountable should be the Nuremberg of our time.

"In the place of problem-solving technology, companies have jumped on successive bandwagons like NFTs, the metaverse, and LLMs. What these all have in common is that they are not built to really solve a market problem. They are built to make VCs and companies rich."

Maybe it's just me but I don't think Jeffrey Epstein's clients should be the ones to decide if Jeffrey Epstein's clients should be prosecuted.
Years ago I decided that taking one day off after travel to recover, do laundry, etc, was an overall gain in work efficiency for the week following a trip. I highly recommend this strategy! Also I am terrible at actually implementing it and I may need to file a formal complaint against myself.
This, (from AP) … Listed under “Entertainment” is weird.
But this an indictment against America.

Mayor Mamdani and a group of children hold hands while running through red tape in a hallway.
For too long, bureaucracy kept 7 child care centers across our city empty — spaces that should have been alive with laughter instead collected dust.
We've run through that red tape. This fall, all 7 will open their doors, bringing an additional 240 free 3-K seats & real relief to working families.

"This is an important thing to think about."
In February 1777, General George Washington ordered the first mass immunization campaign in American history by mandating that his troops be inoculated against smallpox. He protected the Continental Army from an epidemic that was deadlier than British forces.
249 years later, we have this idiot.
