This cutie was enjoying life in the company of some beautiful fully unfurled moss. The fungi has a mustard brown stripe with a cap that has stripes of a similar color where the gills are attached to it and lighter coloration, more of a light yellow-brown color. The edges of the cap are scalloped with the apex of each scallop corresponding with the full and each valley upward corresponding with the gap between gills. I really need to learn more about moss. I don't know if this is the same species with just a different morphology or life cycle vs what I usually see all over the place. Someday I'll have time, or hopefully I can find a moss-obsessed person and just learn from their posts.
