Story Excerpt 2 - Analog Science Fiction and Fact {!{wpv-view name='issue-current-excerpt2'}!}

"Schismogenesis" is about an Antillean-Singaporean scientist whose fraught sense of belonging set them down a path to realizing a borderless world. It's also an origin story for a side character in SORDIDEZ & other stories in my Condéverse named "Garuda" 🪽🧬🥼 #scifi

When I was a boy I devoured a lot of #sciencefiction 🤓. In those pages I learned that anything is possible if only you have the creativity to dream it into being. AnalogSF magazine was one of those inspirations. It is beyond surreal to see my words and byline in its May/June issue! 😭😫 The story 🧵

I'm so glad they liked that ending! It took every ounce of restraint I possess not to hint at it. What a masterpiece! @vajra.me is a brilliant storyteller! 🚪I want to read a fake nonfiction scholarly account about the bright doors and how they work.

Read trans books. Support trans creators. If you are cis like me, use your privilege to speak up and speak out against ignorance and hatred. If you're queer, gay, bi, or lesbian in America - learn the names of the ◼️ trans activists in history who fought for you. #transdayofvisibility

SUPPORT TRANS PUERTO RICANS

We learned a few days ago that on 10/6, Medicaid in Puerto Rico will stop covering all medications used for gender-affirming care.

True Self Foundation has established an emergency fund to cover the cost of GAC for trans Puerto Ricans, but they need more funding to meet the vast need.

The link to donate is in the KHJN Trans Health page bio.

Trans people in Puerto Rico are facing an unprecedented crisis. This Medicaid announcement comes just months after a ban on gender-affirming care for anyone under 21 was signed into law.

horrific whiplash in PR, which just several years ago was explicitly affirming our care had to be covered. but already this year PR enacted a criminal ban up to age 21 w/ a 15yr prison sentence, and now this. here's the donation page if you're able to pitch in:

Day two of my under-loved #TransRightsReadathon recommendations is OBVIOUSLY about small press novellas! Because what could be more satisfying during a readathon than a stack of novellas?

Terrible advice from someone who knows nothing about publishing.

Been querying since before agents accepted email. At NO TIME did I ever pay money, nor was that expected. I live outside the US. I never went to uni or a convention.

You don't need money. You need to get better at writing & querying.
