Yes, so true! I was a tech writer for many years. We wrote in the specified voice for target readers: consumer, superuser, and to match sub-brands (more like vibes). Some products were co-branded with other companies & had to “sound” like AT&T, Comcast, etc. & docs had to be accurate...
