These brilliant videos were taken on our guided walk - Birds & Their Song - that happened last Saturday ๐ฆ๐
Those who joined us spotted nest building behaviours, such as this nuthatch adding mud to the entrance of its bird box!

Sometimes when we are botanising we can forget to look up! Which would be a shame as #treeflowers are both fascinating & beautiful! This weekโs challenge is to go looking for wild & naturalised trees that are blooming. Share your finds for #WildflowerHour this Sunday 8-9pm!

For the first time in London's history, it's now possible to walk along the north bank of the Thames from Westminster to the Tower without going more than a few paces from the river... or sometimes *in it* if you catch the tides wrong londonist.substack.com/p/an-histori...

A nice liverwort - Greater Featherwort, Plagiochila asplenioides, in woodland at RSPB Loch Lomond. #BonkersForBryophytes
Wandering up to the Ally Pally Boating Lake today (11am to 2pm) where RSPB NW London will be giving out information on the #biggardenbirdwatch and with a guided walk at Noon.
Count for today in mini garden in N London 1 long-tailed tit, 1 robin, 1 goldfinch, 1 wood pigeon, 2 blue tits, 2 great tits, 15 sparrows and the green terrors.... 18 parakeets. (and just too late for the count a collard dove)
Finishing breakfast before starting my #biggardenbirdwatch count expecting lots of parakeets...., but hoping for something more interesting like a goldcrest or a blackcap.
Would like to a see a Small Tortoiseshell, they were almost absent from my local park (N London) last year.......
