CF Issue 1 Dragons of Flame Review.
CF Issue 21 Roger Frames.
#CommodoreFormat and issue 1 saw a single page review of DoF and they nommed it down to 57%. ALmost two years later, they upped that score in issue 21 to 70%. Okay then...
For some reason Zzap! only reviewed the Kixx budget release in 1992 and scored it poorly. Because it is a poor game. And I love Dragonlance!
An interesting, if blocky take on one of the most iconic Dragonlance images from the 80s. Depicted is Lord Ariakas the "Emperor of Ansalon" and his unamed red dragon. Missing from the original picture is an unknown female, kneeling in front of Ariakas. The watcher from the side is, uh, meant to be Tasselhoff Burrfoot. They could of at least TRIED to give him a topknot..!

Dragons of Flame
As a massive fan of #Dragonlance and all things therein, the HotL and DoF games were a giant disappointment on all platforms, not least the #C64. Possibly trying to ape Psygnosis' "Barbarian", the game falls short on every level, always missing each genre'd mark. Sad.
It's been so long since I have seen this, that I totally forgot that JC's foster parents are Vasquez and the CTU Director from 24! Oh Dear Lord!
She be pretty!
I'm playing this SOOOOOOOON (again)!

Dude - those nuts are perfect! No stepping! And using a smaller nozzle is the way and finer layer height.
When I can, I will physically load my version(s) on my C64 and take a look, but, as AEB says himself, I also do not recall there being a loading screen for Uridium.
They also look ... interesting...

#3DPtinting FTW! Not all of the nuts for the hard rubber bandsaw feet came from old to new Fripville back in October, I have no idea why, but there you go. So, having no spare, like a lunatic, #A1Mini to the rescue. I mean, I wouldn't attach my handlebars with 'em, but for temps - just Dandy Beano.
7mo old score? No dice.
I just read the reviews in my actual issue of Commodore Format 10 that I bought, myself, from JCR in Plympton. ๐ฅฐ You are all over these games!
Mad Skillz.
Have a squiz at The Magic Candle too - another disk-only Mindcraft RPG. I ahve not played either, mind you!
Cool boxed copy, that is! Bravo!
No problemo - it was a cracking event - see you in May!
I need to look at C128 Uridium. Are the Panel Segments open to all, first come, first served for seats, do you know, Andrew, or limited to VIP? Last time (2024) we were there you sat with us in the cafe part and caught some of the England Lioness football on our iPad. ๐ฅณ Seems like a decade ago.
Yes, I do remember this more now - I think I have it! ๐คฃ
I have not, but I have heard of it. ๐
Not a clue, old boy, not a clue! I have a few "versions" of C64 Uridium, I will have to have a looksee! If you find out any tidbits, let me know.
I will load up my cassette copy / copies when setup in my new office. ๐ Run a bypass.
It does, but it is "a" C64 version. I don't recall a C64 loading screen, as I mentioned.
I like to Moob it, Moob it! ๐
It's cold out - confirmed! But, these borders won't border themselves!

Lovely bit of C64 artwork.
