An interesting, if blocky take on one of the most iconic Dragonlance images from the 80s. Depicted is Lord Ariakas the "Emperor of Ansalon" and his unamed red dragon. Missing from the original picture is an unknown female, kneeling in front of Ariakas. The watcher from the side is, uh, meant to be Tasselhoff Burrfoot. They could of at least TRIED to give him a topknot..!

As a massive fan of #Dragonlance and all things therein, the HotL and DoF games were a giant disappointment on all platforms, not least the #C64. Possibly trying to ape Psygnosis' "Barbarian", the game falls short on every level, always missing each genre'd mark. Sad.

Now, I don't recall there being a #C64 loading screen for this classic blaster BITD, but there is this on the cart version I have for VICE. I will have to boot the original... AEB's seminal shooter was never really replicated - the bar is set pretty high. And boy, it's TOUGH!

Shaun Southern made a few cracking games for the #C64 and a few howlers, but, well, I made zero, so - good on him and shut myself up. Proof Of Destruction is a great, frantic blaster that oozes charm and playability. £2 and 1987 couldn't be better. Minter? Schminter! Top drawer!

I always enjoyed the cassette artwork for HotGT on the #C64, and indeed, on any other of the 8-Bits - the inlay was almost exactly the same. The game was less interesting to me, but, that didn't stop me loading it up once in a while to see if it got better.

The original #C64 arcade conversion back in 1985 was a bit squished in the GFX deparment, well, in every dept, actually. LC Games has done a cracking job on "Revival" & for an early arcade pop 'em up - it's really very accomplished. Plenty options. High Production. YES.

"V8 - return to base. Immediately!" The digitised speech tells you at the start of every go, delaying things, as you start every 10 seconds. What could have been one of the best games on the #C64 ends up being one of the worst, as it is simply unplayable. TUNE!

Blimey. I was not expecting one of the fastest #C64 racing games to be made in 1986. This is mad fast and also both the speedo and rev counter dials are exceptionally well animated. I only had time to play two races this morning, but - they were both thoroughly enjoyable!

I have the music on as I type this - do YOU have the music on in your own BRIAN? #C64 loading screens and loading tunes do not get much better than this. The game is an interesting shooter, but where it excels in style, it falls flat on the insane difficulty level.

By all accounts a "classic" game for any system, but particularly on the #C64. I have never played it. Until now. It's alright. It's hugely dated, but taken for what it is, there is a good amount of arcade fun and deft poystick and buttoning to be had. Henry Spragens, eh? Woof.

I think given a little time and effort one could come to enjoy BttF2 on the #C64. Out of the box, tape, disk or cart, it looks and sounds great, but the first part of the first level is mega tricksy. It's a shame, as the later levels look much more interesting!
