How humanity has fallen, we hang by a thread of a social media post.

Leadership is not about control it’s about caring enough about humanity to do the right thing. Taking responsibility for the people you serve and making decisions that reflect humanity and integrity. Because at the end of the day, doing the right thing should never be optional.
If funding shifts or access is reduced, we will feel it harder than most states. We need to make sure our Alaska delegation hears us loud and clear and puts pressure where it belongs to protect what our families depend on and act in the best interest of all Alaskans.
Here in Alaska, Medicaid isn’t just a safety net, it’s part of the foundation that keeps our healthcare system running, especially for our rural communities, our elders, our kids, and our tribal health systems.
Nothing has been cut right now, but there are real proposals that could reduce access over time, and while these statements aren’t policy, they do signal intent and that matters.
There’s so much to be worried about these days, and hearing the President talk about Medicare and Medicaid in the context of paying for a war in Iran should get all of us paying attention.
Stand up!
No kings!!
Because this isn’t about politics anymore. It’s about whether our kids will have something solid to stand on.
We all want a future we can believe in. Now is the time to vote leaders that lead like it matters because it does. #akleg
This is where I come back to leadership. We need leaders who are steady, who put people first, who are willing to step past party lines and do the hard work of making sure our country and our state stay strong and stable.
And when things like that happen at the national level, places like Alaska feel it fast and hard especially our smaller communities.

Insolvent means a government (or a person) does not have enough money to pay its bills when they are due. It’s not just a big financial word it means real consequences. Delayed payments, cuts to services, uncertainty in things people rely on every day.

Insolvent means a Sitting here today, reading headlines that say the U.S. Treasury is warning about insolvency, it stops you in your tracks.

That’s why Alaska leadership matters so much in this moment.
We are standing at the edge of something right now in Alaska and I think a lot of us can feel it. We all want a future we can look forward to… for our kids, our grandkids, for the generations coming after us. A future where they can stay here, build a life, and feel secure. #akleg

Alaska can’t afford political gridlock. People come first.
📞 Senator Lisa Murkowski (DC): (202) 224-6665
📞 Senator Dan Sullivan (DC): (202) 224-3004
Call them. Speak up. This matters. If it keeps going it’s going to hurt all Alaskans.
Fund the essentials now: FEMA, TSA, and the U.S. Coast Guard.
If there’s disagreement over ICE and border patrol, separate it but don’t hold the rest hostage.
With TSA already stretched thin, it won’t take much for smaller airports to reduce service or shut down. That’s not an inconvenience that’s a safety and access issue.
