I’ve had stage 4 cancer since 2011 with 12 years of chemo. Treatment resistant depression is worse in my experience. (I got lucky with the cancer survival)

Omg 💯 I relate. Meds work for mania but I’m on a shitload for depression & still struggling. Plus ketamine therapy. Mindfulness, CBT, dbt, ifs, exercise…..every thing with huge effort. Lose days lying in bed being miserable. Makes me think id like to be a little hypomanic for awhile…..

Said no one with depression ever.

Some is coming from experienced $ respected therapists (personality stuff). I typically mute all the anti-psych crap it’s just too common with RFK spouting nonsense all over now. Thank you for your kind words. It’s a particularly tough day after overextending myself last week.

Reading that treatment resistant depression might indicate personality disorders. Reading that bipolar depression isn’t real & it’s due to faulty thoughts & behaviours. Reading that we shouldn’t be on meds. Basically feeling like an absolute failure today.😢

14 years here. Quit all treatment 2 years ago & still doing well.

Is there medical access or a compassion club. I started with compassion club. The facility wasn’t legal but no one tried to shut it down.

In 1990 I was student OT at arthritis clinic & taught relaxation, pacing & energy conservation for people with “fibromyalgia” and CFS. We don’t seem to have come any further….
