ADPList helped me find a new purpose-mentoring & helping others succeed, when I felt my career was severely stagnated in 2022. All mentees and mentors I met helped me become a better-rounded designer. Now I’m shutting down my account to find a *truly* purpose-driven community.

Having Hotjar on my portfolio's been a game changer in my UX job search. Not only can I see how people skim my case studies (if ever), but also it reveals the most relevant case study to the hiring manager before portfolio review. I've had managers saying "Great, this is what I wanted to see!"

This. Been there, done that. There goes my beautifully crafted, 2-column Figma resume lol
Sadly, contacting who would be the immediate boss (often the hiring manager) has never worked for me. Not that I've tried many times, but not a single message led to an interview. Any practical tips or success stories?
I wholeheartedly emphasize how ineffective "spray-and-pray" is. The UX job market is rough. Blindly applying to 100+ jobs doesn't work. Instead, curate jobs that you're qualified for and match your strengths. One way to do it is to apply for jobs that match your resume, not the other way around.
