“I’m here to ask you to freeze the hiring of new school cops & reinvest those funds into actual support through more counselors, social workers & restorative justice programs.”
Our students know what they need to succeed & are fiercely advocating to ensure NYC continues to fund these programs.
For months, we’ve been advocating to pass the New York for All Act, because our families and neighbors are suffering from Trumps’s mass deportation agenda and endless violence.
NY can protect us from ICE’s overreach by passing #NY4All. Call your reps: win.newmode.net/ny4all
When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option.
NY Legislators: protect immigrant communities at the state level by passing the New York for All Act!
We cannot let state and local resources fuel family separation. #NY4All
🎉Congrats to our Director of Base Building, Julissa Bisono, on winning the Queens Power Women 2026 Justice Award!

We all deserve a caring, affordable New York. 🗽
Today, our members are joining thousands of working class New Yorkers w/ @ourtimefornyc.bsky.social in Albany to demand urgent action to address the rising cost of living across the state.
It’s time to #TaxTheRich to #InvestInOurNY!
#ICEOutForGood march has started in NYC with THOUSANDS of NYers protesting in freezing temps.
We refuse to let this administration target our cities one by one. Our communities deserve to live free from raids, detention, and the expanding reach of surveillance.
OUTRAGEOUS- Home Depot, a company largely funded by immigrant spending & labor must take a stand & stop the numerous ICE raids happening in their parking lots!
✨EXCITING NEWS! Today, we are announcing our powerful new executive team.✨
On April 1st, Natalia Aristizabal (left) and Rebecca Telzak (right) join Sienna Fontaine (center) as Co–Executive Directors. Together, they will shepherd the organization into our next era. 🧵

As immigrants attending their court hearings continue being inhumanely abducted by ICE inside New York’s federal courts over the past week, NY elected officials spent the day escorting immigrants to and from their court hearings in an attempt to prevent further out-of-control detentions. 🧵
📢 NYC SHOWED ITS POWER!
On Saturday, 1000s proved our movements are STRONGER when we fight together. Immigrant communities + climate defenders = unstoppable.
We made our demands clear:
✊ #ICEOutOfNYC
✊ #FossilFuelsOut
✊ No more scapegoating migrants forgreed
This is just the beginning.
With a President promising to devastate immigrant communities, it’s critical that local & state laws are resilient enough to protect us.
🦋We can't wait any longer. It’s time to pass the New York for All Act now! #NY4All
Take action TODAY: win.newmode.net/ny4all

However, it is critical that such updates fully capture the needs of today’s students and account for the enormous variation in the cost of living across New York State.
The @governor.ny.gov’s Executive Budget fails to meet this goal.
That ain’t right!
📚✏️Fight fight fight! Education is a right!
Yesterday, our fierce members traveled to Albany to fight for education justice because @governor.ny.gov’s proposed changes to the Foundation Aid formula would result in NYC schools getting nearly $350 MILLION LESS than they would without these changes.
Today, we are at the NY State Capitol with New Pride Agenda & allies to emphasize the importance of passing the Housing Access Voucher Program (#HAVP) and increasing the Lorena Borjas Transgender and Non-Binary Wellness and Equity Fund. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
“I know what it means to experience housing instability—for over 5 months, I had a place to stay with friends, but not a permanent home. They would let me shower, cook, and sleep on their couches, but I didn’t have a place I could call home.”
Our member Maxima Rodas calls on NY State to pass #HAVP!
“As a Corona resident, I am thrilled to endorse these candidates for Queens 21st Council District, who share our values and will champion policies for working-class communities of color,”
Our member Mayra Colon, shared on our endorsement of Erycka Montoya, Sandro Navarro & Shanel Thomas-Henry.
NEBRASKA CROWD: “TAX THE RICH! TAX THE RICH!”
@USRepMikeFlood: “So your proposal to solve (the debt) is tax the rich?”
NEBRASKA CROWD: *CHEERS WILDLY*
(not sure this went quite as he planned 😬)
“This is not just about today, it’s about the future of our communities” says Ngawang, youth leader from our Youth Power Project.
Currently, students are at City Hall to testify at today’s education hearing to demand no further cuts to their schools & an investment in education.

Allan Feliz was unarmed when Lt. Jonathan Rivera assaulted, tased + shot him in the chest 5 years ago.
Both the NYC CCRB and the NYPD’s discipline judge recommend he be fired.
Earlier today, our youth joined Allan’s family at 1 Police Plaza to demand the Mayor + NYPDPC #FireJonathanRivera NOW!
