Metrolinx will fix it!
Sutcliffe promises!
And we all know he's never lied, been dishonest or made bad choices in the past

Trusting Dougie with our transit system is actually worse than trusting Sutcliffe (I know, it's shocking how afwul our choices are)
Not at all the fix he promised during his campaign and a mistake for our city
The only thing Sutcliffe does well is spin a web of near lies, hoping no one notices
Good morning Ottawa.
Bonjour Ottawa
This shouldn't happen before the election. This is a bad decision IMO and it should be fully aired before we proceed
Such spin!
A loss of local control isn't a win and it isn't a position you ran on. No decision should be made until after the next election
“The infamous Koch brothers have bankrolled climate deniers, propped up polluting industries, and even tried to turn the black community pro-fossil fuel. But, as a recent New York Times story shows, the billionaire conservatives have been steadily exerting pressure against public transit as well.”
To quote the talented @tomflood.bsky.social “courage should come from our councillors not our children.”
Grief at the death of a Peter Clark could manifest in lower speed limits, road safety funding, reevaluation of road safety design approaches, a push to reinstate cameras at prov level 1/
Our communities are grieving a month after Peter Clark’s death. Our political leaders lament this tragedy — no action to prevent another:
❌ Feds won’t regulate oversized vehicles
❌ Ontario killed speed cameras
❌ Council defunds road safety
The illegal parking lot on Bank@Florence is still thriving with no enforcement
There's no driveway so #Autowa is deliberately driving over the curb and sidewalk 🤷
It's only been many many days since people first reported it ....
Winning customer service
Public transit is a shambles, infrastructure investments are focused on building wider roads that put the lives of pedestrians and cyclists at risk, and existing infrastructure is being poorly maintained, but at least we have the lowest property taxes among Ontario’s 10 largest cities
Attendance announced at 8,605. Largest (non-playoff) attendance at TD Place for @pwhlcharge.bsky.social so far! Just one reason I voted against #Lansdowne2.0
The beautiful (federally funded) War Museum, 1 of only 3 buildings in Ottawa to receive a GG Award in architecture, with broken, sidewalks and acres of road/pavement, crying out for municipal trees.
(Not a single muni building has ever won a GG award vs Edmonton which won 9, ½ in last decade)
Wow the cracked sidewalks with asphalt patches must be a big draw
You, and your "balanced" approach, are a failure
You really hate the Charge don't you?
As I'm posting this sitting on Gilbert St I've had to wave down 3 drivers going the wrong way down the one way street 🙃
All reversed direction but two gave me the "how should I know" car brained shoulder shrug.
This city is crazy
Bank and Florence in Ottawa. A vacant lot that's become an illegal parking lot
Person peeing in an empty lot on Bank St. Ottawa
A perfect #autowa /Ottawa moment
As I'm walking down Bank just now @ Florence, it's still a parking lot despite 311 reports
Then there's the well dressed dude pissing in the corner because the city doesn't care about public amenities like toilets
Big thanks @arieltroster.com for your advocacy
I'm sure they're just stopping for a minute 🤣
Beaver on the river bank
Pathways closed because of flooding
I was surprised to see cute little beaver out and wandering so publicly. Perhaps it's enjoying the warm morning and all the flooded areas
The people are taking to the streets 💪
Come park at city hall while you get blasted off 12$ pints at Sir John A's, then enjoy a nice relaxing drive home!
Having failed to deliver LRT, manage it effectively or deliver on promises made, uploading will relieve the city from accountability; it won’t do anything for bus commuters, nor other public means of getting around (bike share, sidewalks, etc).
And remember: there’s on 1 taxpayer. And it’s us.
Good morning Ottawa! Welcome to our walkable neighborhood. Don’t trip on the shattered curbs, busted sidewalk, or stumble into the pole we didn’t bother to remove.
Thank goodness for lowest taxes in the province!
A police car is parked in front of a red sports car crashed into someone’s lawn with a 30 kms per hour sign visible in front
The kid and I have walked on this street probably hundreds of times. Societally we accept that safety is a probability no different than rolling dice that on any given day, too bad soaring you roll wrong one day. Oh you don’t like it? Too bad, we don’t care buttercup #ottawa
It's too bad we didn't close down the train for upgrades for like 5 years where we maybe could have done this.
This whole train/hospital connection oppportunity really snuck right up on us.
Two cars parked on a vacant lot.
So I guess the vacant lot at the corner of Bank and Florence is just going to be parking lot now. #Autowa
Oh the irony of 1 man using a City pickup on Trillium, to paint over the graffiti tag under the KZM near Commanda Bridge, mere meters from a literal trash heap left by people who lived rough all winter.
Real tough on crime while doing nothing to help people.
