Post image 9 hand combed and blended CMYK colours placed in rainbow order across my hackle. Each colour had 10% black added. I then drafted the colours off, moving side to side to create an oscillating rainbow.

Here’s the fibre I began with to start spinning for #spintogether. I first blended a 24 colour rainbow using my home made wool combs. If I have enough time at the end I will be spinning an oscillating rainbow.
All of the spinning will be done on the Fold prototype.

A vertically blended top has been stripped and then broken up and placed into a ring binder to ensure that over 100 fibre sections are all spun in the right order.

Experimenting with spinning a 3ply fractal from a vertical blend. This takes some organisation.

Colourful collage of images showing various ways of preparing the same multicoloured blend along with the 4 completed yarns

The fibre has been separated out onto a blending board in colour order with intentional optical blending and then removed as a batt to be then zigzag split into roving

The fibre has been opened up and placed on a blending board in a single layer. Thin rolags have then been drafted off the blending board.

I thought I’d share Questionable Blend #10 as my first post here.
I spun this colourful blend 4 different ways to try to keep the colours a little bit separate. I love this blend but I definitely made a mistake when I split it.
