So we had a one two punch to to the nose this week with the passing of my Grandfather on Thurs and now my Dad also passed away today. I’m sadden I’ll be unable to fly back to Ohio for my Grandpa’s service as I’m helping Mom with funeral arrangements. I’m just exhausted and numb, right now.
Learned about this indie album @pachinko_deathmetal & ordered a copy & forgot about it. It was delivered back in December 2025. Found it outside recently under a shrub, thanks USPS, no clue how this #cd with its cardboard case didn’t get ruined because it had rained a few times already this year.
Super excited to finally received & installed my repro #ashtray holder for my #neogeo #mvsu4 #arcade cabinet. Now to figure out where my NeoGeo MVS ashtray wandered off to. #arcadeprojects
I got a nice banner for the arcade from @arcadeshock. I’m temp hanging it in the gameroom to unroll the #streetfighteriii3rdstrike banner. I just have a soft spot for old #arcade ephemera.
Rearranging the home #arcade to make room for #tmnt cab. Realized I split the room in half between jpn & usa cabs. Need to mop the floor then drag the cocktail #mspacman & #popeye. I think people might still have room to game. #wip
Well, after the vet visit today, I had to accept the hard reality that Ezri is not only blind, but she is now deaf. Her whimpering wasn’t from pain, it was because she was alone & scared. 😭 Today was all pets & scratches; keeping her close to us.
Picked up #macrossm3 for the #dreamcast only because the #englishpatch has been released & I wanted to try it out.
I have these individual cube shelves I use to store #laserdisc but upgraded & needed to utilize them to their max storage capability for #uhd & #bluray discs so I picked up some shelf #riser from @thesteadyhand. Works like a champ, temped to do something similar for my #manga.

My wife is organizing & I am reminded I have old #crt monitors peakabooing at me. I plan this year to pull them out at a get-together & do a theme setup like hook up multi #nes & #famicom to each tv then play #supermariobros 1, 2, USA, & 3. Just to old man nerd flex. 💀
Sometimes you can still find good deals on FB marketplace. I’ve always had a soft spot for #mylovestory #sliceoflife #anime. It was on tv when I was in Japan back in 2015. Became obsessed trying to figure out the name. Now I have a legit copy on #bluray & #dvd.
Got a new #4K #UHD #Bluray player last week & I’ve been picking up more #films, rewatching the 1995 #ghostintheshell. I will always prefer the manga & the PS1 game over that film. I am reminded why I dislike so many Mamoru Oshii directed films. Cool scenes sprinkled around an overall dull movie.
I attempted a screen upgrade years ago on my #gameboypocket & completely messed up. Got around to installing an #ips display & shell swap. Took me a while, after loosing my temper, I stepped away and finished after dinner. I hate modding the #GBPocket.
#tronares arrived today, completing the #tron #4ktrilogy. Now if Disney would just release #tronuprising out on any physical media or I’ll settle for a season 2, I would be a happy person.

I have choices to make. I have already decided on installing credit buttons on the #tmnt #arcade #cab, but I need your input. Should I mount them to the front of the control panel or hide them under the control panel? I’m leaning towards hiding them to keep it looking stock.
Modified a recipe using pork chops to make #Dwaejigogi #돼지고기 It was most delicious except it was just too spicy for my wife, so that’s a fail. I think there was too much gochugaru. I need to make it flavorful without being too spicy to kill the tastebuds. I’ll do better next time.
The #tmnt cab is now playable. I still have to do wire management & find a play to install the credit switches but it’s playable!
Ok, setting the #tmnt #pcb #dipswitch settings then installed the board into the #arcadecab. The cab is operational but I need to organize the wires & install credit switches. Just waiting on parts to be 100% done. ✅
Completed wire harness & installed into original #jamma harness, trimmed the #cpo, cut out the panel holes, & installed hardware, including monitor glass & will wire everything up either tonight or this weekend. Either way, this #tmnt #arcade #cabinet will be completed this weekend. More to come.
Repairing my OEM #jamma harness to the #tmnt #arcade cabinet. Using spare harness for parts, transferring the player 1 & 2 harness over to the original edge connector but missing the player 1 joystick harness from the #molex disconnect, so I’ll have to build & wire one from scratch. #restoration
Realizing that the #netboot #seganaomi has a noticeable lag, I waited for almost exactly 2 years on a wait list for this: #multi #atomiswave cartridge by aje_fr. This was actually the cheaper route to play lagless #dolphinblue which is literally the last Atomiswave cart I wanted for my collection.
Over cooked the veggies but everything else is spot on. Rib roast is medium rare, Yorkshire pudding is puffy, & the gravy is perfection. It took all damn day but totally worth the effort. #christmasevesupper
Rubbed down my rib roast with Worcestershire then added rosemary salt. Originally planned on roasting in my oven but pivoting to sous vide due to work schedule. Plan on rendering more beef tallow. For now, the roast is vacuum sealed & resting in the fridge for tomorrow.
At the international market in #lasvegas & per house rules, picked up lateral beef ribs because they were under $10 per lbs. #marinated the ribs for #kalbi for Monday’s supper. Mixing the meat to evenly coat the marinade. Dinner will be amazeballs, just how #korean baby Jesus would have wanted it.
My wife @msjoanneb, helped me apply the #tmnt control panel overlay #cpo. Wires to player 1 & 2 are cut and removed. I was going to order a new harness but after learning the cost, I will be removing the old pins & rewire player 1 & 2. I ain’t made of money.
My #manga purchase arrived today because of an #anime I became completely enamored with, #sweetnessandlightning by #GidoAmagakure. It inspired me to cook new things & not be afraid to fail in the kitchen. I can’t wait to read this series.

Pick these guys up a while ago, didn’t like them holding up my current gen #controllers but they work great holding my tv remote and #8bitdo #duo controller. #retro #gaming
Ripped out the #fluorescent lamp & upgraded to #led. Also removed the #reproduction #marquee to swap it with my signed #oem #tmnt marquee. The repro marquee colors just looked cheap & wrong. #arcade #restoration
