First two hedgehogs seen on Friday night and these three were seen on Saturday night
A whale shark swims through deep blue water, its body covered in white spots and pale stripes. The shark is shown in full side profile, moving calmly above the darker seafloor below. Sunlight filters faintly through the water, giving the scene a soft blue glow. A few small fish follow in the distance.
CITES has agreed to move whale sharks, oceanic whitetips, and manta and devil rays to Appendix I, ending international commercial trade. This does not end the pressure on sharks, but it does give the work ahead a firmer base.

First visit to TLH for some time, plenty of ChiffChaff and Wrens around. The resident Tawny Owl, behind reception, was static on its branch all day. The Smew on O Res kept its distance. @tophilllow.bsky.social
