When I was a kid (70s-80s), one of the supposed signs of gifted kids was that they memorised the work quickly, then got bored.

Past educators - that wasn’t giftedness, that was ADHD.

We didn’t need to be segregated, we needed meds!

I had the best interview question ever a couple of weeks ago: “What does hard work mean to you?” And I’m pretty sure the answer they wanted was something like: work smarter, prioritise, and leave on time as often as you can.

I wish I’d said something as articulate as that, but of course I didn’t 🫠

Do the Aussies have some younger players in the side for this one? I thought they were resting some of the warhorses. It’s very sad for England though when our inexperienced players are still beating them.

She’s always been progressive, I learned a lot from just being around her! Her mum was a strong ally to all minorities, her definition of equality was almost seen as socialist in Footscray in the 1940s. But my mum has an amazing understanding of *why* bigotry is so detrimental to all of us.

I think my mum was really proud to have both watched it and shared it. I almost didn’t have the heart to tell her I’d seen it on BlueSky first!

I’ve been in a period of depression for a couple of months. I’m feeling a lot better now, but looking back on it, depression made me look and feel 10 years older.

It wasn’t all doom & gloom, but even my best moments were weighed down with some level of anxiety.
