April is the Month of the Military Child, a time to honor the APS military families and children for their resilience and strength as they support their service member(s).
At last night’s SB meeting, we recognized 3 Posse Scholars—recipients of a prestigious full-tuition leadership scholarship. Selected through a highly competitive process, they exemplify achievement, leadership & a strong commitment to their communities. Congratulations to these remarkable students!

Hey, @apsva.us! It may no longer be random acts of kindness week but a special week shouldn't be needed if we focus on being kind every day! Take the extra step. Be a little extra kind. Be patient with someone struggling. It matters.
A group of people are sitting around an oval table in a small meeting room. Laptops, phones, and papers are on the table. Shelves with various items are in the background. Everyone appears to be engaged and smiling.
A person in a red and gray top stands in a hallway with green and yellow checkered flooring. Another person in a gray blazer, whose face is not visible, faces them. Above, a sign reads "Home of the Warriors."
A group of students is in a classroom setting with green walls. Some are seated at tables working on laptops, while others are engaged in conversation. A screen and educational posters are visible on the walls.
Excited to kick off my spring school visits at @wakefield.apsva.us! I joined an Instructional Coaching meeting, connected with a 2026 Posse Scholar and visited a classroom. So proud of the work happening here. 🎓 #OneTeamOneAPS #APSSuptVisits
