It would be beneficial for me to switch from Spotify to YouTube music so I can get the rest of YouTube also adfree but I can't convince my wife to cancel our Spotify plan.

On my break I wanted to watch the highlights of the Oilers game + I made the mistake of watching it on YouTube. It was an 11 min video that had 4 commercials + 2 ads that take up 1/3rd of the screen within the first 5 mins.

Yeah fuck that. Finished the rest of it adfree on the DuckDuckGo browser.

Some MFer keeps spilling juices from their lunch onto the lunchroom counter and never cleans it up.

That's probably the other reason more businesses don't try this. It's probably very flawed at the moment and not worth the risk of public hazing if you get caught. Doesn't mean someone won't build a better machine, you know? This sort of thing has to be stopped early.

Yeah this sort of thing could be a huge problem. Even if it's not widespread now, it can be and this is where laws have to get ahead of tech. Already it's too far behind.

I do have a pet peeve when it comes to fishing. And that's guys who gut their fish by cutting off the head and tossing it. Beyond the bones and guts, it's all edible. My kids love the fish cheeks.

It's the way to go. I do it for sport, not sustenance. Only time I keep fish is when my kids want them. We have a rule: first day of fishing they can keep 2 large ones each but they have to clean, cook'em and eat them. They can't keep what they won't eat. After that it's all catch and release.

I'm listening to the Guys episode on fishing + they're reading off the pet peeves of this fly fisherman. The complaints are about folks in his casting area. You have to get over it. Or hike to a remote spot. But many guys who fly fish are lazy. We don't even like to keep the fish, just mess with it.

Nearly every single one of these tech guys are like this. They may not say it out loud but they are all of a certain type of man. I don't think we could have anticipated just how many supervillains we would have to contend with today.

Yeah, it's meant to offset sales taxes paid by consumers but it doesn't help fix prices at all. All it does is let people keep up with prices a bit in the absence of pay increases or genuine price reduction. Both of which the government is bad at.
