🚨NEW: After last year’s general election, Nigel Farage promised that “‘bad apples’ that have crept in will be gone” from Reform UK.
But our team has exposed yet another so-called “bad apple” who has worked for the party since the election. 👇

Holy shit. I feel like a super hero
Modern websites are so hostile.
Full screen modals popping up just as you start to interact with the page, multiple times.
Like jump scares in a crappy horror movie. My fight or flight response is triggered as I rapidly close them.
Who thought this was a good idea?

One of the court philosophers saw Diogenes preparing lentils for his dinner.
Court Philosopher: If you had learned to flatter the king you wouldn’t have to live on such simple food as lentils.
Diogenes: Well, if you had learned to live on these lentils you wouldn’t have to flatter the king.

Hey #usa how does it feel to know the world thinks you're about to embark on full blown ethnic cleansing?

Fatigued with the USA centric world view. I'm not from America, I don't admire America.
I do fear American idiocratic, fundamentalist, substance abuse driven, sociopathic politics.
Where can I look to find some optimism for the future of our little blue/green world?

Admiration for this organisation is high

New years day is now always going to be the day my mum died. 😞
Israel has destroyed the last remaining hospital in northern Gaza.
We have witnessed the total decimation of Palestinian healthcare, met with silence from political leaders who refuse to acknowledge the horrors they have enabled.
This is the dehumanising reality of genocide.
Amen
Asda selling bags of 8p sprouts. I am mostly eating sprouts. Sprouts are awesome.
Last night: steamed for 15 minutes with 2 garlic cloves. Then into a bowl, good dose of olive oil then curry powder then gram flour whilst shaking it all up. 10 mins in air fryer.
Oh yeah 🌶️😋
Absolutely. Programming is changing. It's becoming less laborious to create boiler plate code. Finding quick answers is a lot faster. Productivity will go up and expectations will rise to match. Human brains are still required

Secular left wing society needs to stand up against fascism no matter on race or religion.
Humanity needs to grow up and face down it's demons
I'm a white British male heterosexual. I was always told I was supposed to really like football. I really couldn't care less about it.
Switched to Firefox a while ago. It's not perfect and I still sometimes use chrome for online meetings but daily driver is Firefox. Has been on android for ages

One of the nice things about being a patient gamer, (i.e only buying games after they've been out a while, all the major bugs are patched and the price is more palatable), is that the internet is full of detailed walk throughs and guides. I try not to use them but sometimes a little help is 👌
Embrace it or get left behind. If you really enjoy bashing out repetitive predictable chunks of code by hand then great, but if you enjoy maximising your productivity then you use the best tools you can
Ah good old planned obsolescence - of humans! Really what I see is not so much heartless as data driven, profit obsessed and blinkered middle management types who are forgetting that we're just a bunch of monkeys on a tiny rock in a huge universe. We need to look out for each other!
Watching real users find all the edge cases in your carefully crafted typescript is both painful and educational. It's not them that's messed up, it's you. Just because you never imagined anyone would do that... #ux #webdev
"One of the great tragedies of mankind is that morality has been hijacked by religion. So now people assume that religion and morality have a necessary connection. But the basis of morality is really very simple and doesn't require religion at all."
Arthur C. Clarke
This year I was in an earth quake for the first time.. Quite a strong one in Colombia, but apparently it's pretty common there, no big deal. I flew my first 100km paragliding flight, then another later in the year.

Unbelievable cruelty. I really wonder about humanity sometimes.
Climate ain't gonna fix itself. People won't naturally choose low polluting cars.
