Sometimes I wonder if there's a hidden talent I'm missing and missed out on my calling. And then I look at how I've been writing stories....forever. There was never any other choice. Between that and my high school friend group trying to make a ttrpg system I was doomed.

Well. Dead Echoes is now very large but it was quite easy given the world is based in reality. The exhausting part of fantasy world building is establishing how everything works. In dead echoes i can directly pull from how Russia and the rest of the world actually functions

I love reading novels. I’m always amazed by folks who don’t read fiction. There is nothing better, to me, than being in the middle of a book that you can’t wait to return to. It’s like living two lives at once.
The fact that Mamdani just seems like a cheerful normal guy who's policies are things like "we're going to tax second homes to fund pothole repairs" or whatever and yet this generates panicked responses like "This is basically Stalin's great purge turned up to eleven" is... telling. It tells things.
