When you decide on some major rule or world building change, it may be best to dump whole chapters and rewrite them from scratch (for as painful as that is).
Never be afraid to question what you already made, no matter how much effort you've put into it.

Despite its long history of being used in Fantasy fiction, I'm iffy to use the word "mana" in my project because of the cultural appropriation implications. I HAVE a suitable alternative, just I'm not sure of how well it's going to work for prospective players.
