I came up with this idea for trolls, and I quite like it! There's too much to go into here, but the basics are what's said in the other post -- the road troll even has variants for different environments, as roads are naturally all over the world!

…it does make it harder for newer players who miss having a clearer "menu of options" they can choose from to reduce decision fatigue on what they can do. It's a #ttrpgdesign game design tradeoff I thought I fully understood UNTIL today, at a #PAXEast panel about character spotlight sharing… (🧵2/3)
When you decide on some major rule or world building change, it may be best to dump whole chapters and rewrite them from scratch (for as painful as that is).
Never be afraid to question what you already made, no matter how much effort you've put into it.
