It’s not possible to make good policy without good data. I know that the Trump administration wants to punish poor people, but this makes it more difficult for anyone to help poor people.
My mom worked for the CENSUS Bureau. One of her long-term projects was a study about what people eat for the Department of Agriculture. I learned a lot from hearing my mom talk about that work.
