As a real estate photographer, I hypothesize that 90% of the problems we run into can be attributed to realtors trying to run their entire enterprise on one iPhone alone.

Primitive road to Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park. The scores of miles of primitive roads here make it so much fun to explore this massive park.
One of the best sunsets I've ever seen. Taken on a November 2025 trip to Big Bend National Park. #travel #bigbend #nationalpark #photography #sunset #notAI
Big Bend National Park is an incredible place, and at times feels incredibly remote and isolated, from the 50-mile River Road that takes an entire day to traverse, to the towering cliffs at Boquillas and Santa Elena Canyons. A special place indeed.

Some of my favorite real estate photos taken for clients around the State of Texas in 2024. This field challenges the photographer to consistently capture compelling, story-driven images on a near-daily basis, and you get to see amazing places every time.

Don't fly your drone into a wildfire area! You're endangering firefighters and hindering the effort to contain the fires!

Thanks for 500 followers! Here are a few from a recent trip to Cartagena, Colombia. Beautiful and historic city with a vibrant energy that we'll never forget.

Fall colors in downtown Kerrville, Texas (my hometown). We have six miles of river trail along the beautiful Guadalupe River.

Cape Flattery, Washington. The northwesternmost point of the continental US. Definitely worth the very short hike from the trailhead. Look for the bald eagles!

When in Panama, the San Blas Islands *must* be on your itinerary. Getting there is an adventure you'll never forget, and the tiny islands (each operated by individual local families) are amazing. Top tier experience! #travel #panama
The best part about photographing ranches in Texas is the variety of wildlife that landowners introduce or protect. Bison are some of my favorite, because they have such a storied history in Texas.

Just a couple of out-of-shape, middle-aged, scared-of-heights guys trying Angel's Landing for the first time.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country. It's a relatively small river but it's stunningly beautiful as it carves through the limestone.

Seeing double! Corsican rams found in the Texas hill country.

I also love revisiting the archive for a new platform. Losing the chronological impulse has been so liberating. Thanks for sharing.
Hello and goodbye! The elusive Texas whitetail buck doesn't stick around for long in the wild.

When you reach a certain age, do you become obsessed with the weather? Or is that just a photographer thing?

Thank you! I have it on a magazine cover at home
Some real Texas cowboys in action. This process hasn't changed much in the last hundred years.

Golden hour at Enchanted Rock in the Texas hill country. One of our favorite local hiking destinations.

View from the top of 30 Rock. This rooftop vista is worth the effort to get a stunning panorama of the entire Manhattan island. The Empire State Building is featured prominently from this deck when facing south.

The gemsbok is a gorgeous animal. We’re so fortunate to have them at certain game preserves and ranches in Texas.

Nice! I drove all the way to Shiprock last summer and couldn’t get to it because they were filming a TV show. I think it was Dark Winds.
Of course you'll see my typo... I mean "javelina".
Not to be confused with wild pigs, the javalina was first discovered by Spanish explorers and was named for its spear-like teeth. Here are a few pics I snapped when one of these critters approached me on a recent shoot in south Texas.

So hard to find the sweet spot for this park. Seems like there are only a few weekends per year when the weather isn't too hot or too cold! Love it, though.
Big Bend National Park is magical this time of year if you don't mind camping in some cool weather. These are from last year's post-Thanksgiving trip.
