A building in a park becomes surrealistic when photographed with an infrared filter and post-processed. For this, I used a camera converted to full-spectrum use, added a 665nm infrared filter, and later swapped the red and blue channels. Now the vegetation is cotton-candy pink, and the sky a shade of slate.

Two large, vaguely mushroom-shaped boulders. From the plaque:
"The rocks in these odd formations were born of fire and water. The dark-colored schist was originally sand, silt, and clay at the bottom of a long-departed sea. Molten magma from deep in the earth invaded the schist and gradually cooled into the lighter-colored granite. Mushroom shapes were formed when the granite stems eroded quicker than the schist caps."

No, they're saying that because with every additional observation of the asteroid, our knowledge of its position & velocity gets better. As that happens, we have more confidence that it will miss the Earth.
It could still hit the moon, and honestly, that'd be interesting to watch.
