Nikola Petkovic has suffered an ACL injury in his right kneee that will require surgery and would almost certainly keep him from returning this season.

As always @tombogert.bsky.social with the accurate info. I can also confirm that #Sounders is holding on to a sell on fee for Georgi Minoungou although it is less than the usual 15%.
It is also important to add that the $2M in GAM is a club record and has escalators beyond that amount.
Sources confirm @elrolonw.bsky.social’s scoop: The Colorado Rapids are acquiring winger Georgi Minoungou from the Seattle Sounders.
Deal will be worth around $2m GAM I’m told.
Minoungou, 23, one of the league’s best 1v1 dribblers.
Minoungou is under contract thru 2029 (including options).

If Tino Lopez is, indeed, signed it will mark the third straight season and 6th time in 7 years in which a player was signed off Tacoma Defiance after the season started. The only exception was 2022 when Vargas, Adeniran and Ragen were all signed before the season started.
