Sarah Lewis from the Juneau office of the UAF Cooperative Extension Service will be in Sitka to teach three classes in July. On Tuesday, July 8, she will teach people about the state's homemade foods business code and how that will impact potential vendors at the Sitka Farmers Market and other events. On Wednesday, July 9, she will teach people how to can garden soups and pickles. On Thursday, July 10, she will discuss food preservation safety for local food leaders.
