I'm surprised this got her fired on this administration. Also, Republicans don't give a crap about children.

My mom was valedictorian and her guidance counselor told her she could be a teacher or a nurse. She always wished she'd gone into engineering.

Are American car companies only going to sell cars in the US market? Are they just giving up on the rest of the planet?

I pronounce the argument that Americans need guns to protect us from a tyrannical government officially dead. Kaput. We're living under a tyrannical government and the only people suffering from gun violence are innocent children and civilians. No one's using them against this government.

This photo is so beautifully lit that it looks like a still from a movie. This is the Southern Pacific’s Sunset Limited awaiting departure from LA bound for New Orleans. The train was all Pullman train (ie a hotel on wheels) which was good because it took 41 hours to complete.

This piece begins with Amity Shlaes' most common and most deceitful trick -- citing the unemployment numbers in 1938, when the country fell into a recession because FDR had been persuaded to *ease off* the New Deal, as proof that the New Deal didn't work.

Pure hackery.

Trump should be giving this speech to an empty room. Anyone there is complicit.

To our allies, their association with us has become a liability.

“Many of our former strengths, based on our close ties to America, have become weaknesses. Weaknesses that we must correct.”

This is Republican America.

Governor Tim Walz — "We are sick of this. A weak, reckless, Idiotic president just threw us into a war nobody asked for. No threat existed. No objectives were set. No exit plan exists. This is pure fascism." #cdnpoli

On this day in 1914, Canadian Jimmy Duffy won the Boston Marathon. His first requests after he won were a cigarette and a beer.
One year later on April 23, as a member of the Canadian Army, he fought at the Second Battle of Ypres, and was killed.

Trump’s DOJ is still doing all they can to delay releasing the Epstein Files— around 50% of them are still missing. Oversight Dems will keep pursuing justice for survivors and get the files released.

Just to point out the obvious: This could genuinely be dangerous to many people. Not just the applicants, but their friends and families, who may have thought a private social account was a safe place to criticize their own government or talk about being gay, say.

Rather than buy me a card or another sword (I know you had picked one out for me), I'd love for Dead Beats to hit 250 in sales. Its at 241 at the moment and that number is annoying.

Philadelphia is really showing off to Boston & New Jersey, both of which are planning to charge World Cup attendees $80 or more to take transit to & from the games, supposedly because of the high costs of meeting FIFA's requirements.

I am again asking people to pay attention to what has happened to our National Science Foundation and by extension thousands of researchers across the country.

The devastation is ongoing and worthy of continued outcry to officials and journalists. 🧪

This 2020 trade deal - the USMCA - is Trump's big beautiful replacement for NAFTA. Now, the Trump administration is seeking to "reimagine" the deal, viewing it as a "poor deal".

Why did Trump and the Republicans negotiate a bad deal in 2020? Another Trump/Republican failure.
