@claresealy.bsky.social Absolutely loved your ResearchEDBrum presentation about how subjects differ yesterday. Wondering if you are sharing your slides at all, so I can spread the word?

Always love that our reading lists are so similar!!
Thank you! Tweeted and Linked In messaged and Ben himself responded within 10 mins. Still a superstar!!
@msetchell.bsky.social Hi Matt ... don't suppose you have any tips on getting some customer service from Epraise these days? Over a week of no link to MIS and despite normal help channels, no fix. Missing the brilliant old days of the platform.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a video camera that we can use to film lessons apart from the obvious phone, ipad etc. Looking to build a resource bank for our school. @joedale.bsky.social (? tech guru) Thanks #uked #teamlanguages #uk #edusky #edtech
Hurrah, hurrah! Have been nagging @joedale.bsky.social!!
Students think it’s “magic” that even a week later, if I show them the first letter of each word cues of a whole text, they can remember it, repeat it, translate it.
Inspired by this Barry Smith video youtu.be/WtO1YWhwAGE?...
As a language teacher, lots more choral repetition (have always done this) but tweaked to use Eng cue & German choral response; reading it back to me to start with. Next step is removing the whole German word and leaving just the first letter as the German cue, I continue to prompt with English.

We offer to buy them, but if they want to write in them, they buy their own.
Ah … at last!! Keep trying to recommend WAIB with no one to link to!! Welcome!

'Does your study skills curriculum work?'
"Do pupils need to know about ‘working memory’ or ‘procrastination’? Will a ‘study skills curriculum’, or a revision programme, really make a vital difference?"

This is great, Christina - thanks for the share
Do you use booklets in your teaching?
What are the pros/cons?
How can they be used in different subjects?
There are actually many different types of booklet. Read more about them…..

This is what I love about having taught in the same school since 1996. “You taught my mum/dad/aunty”. Teaching the children of students who “came good in the end” and are proud to show you that.
Hurrah! Glad to see you over here!

3. Shipbuilding - Elvis Costello
4. Me & the Farmer - Housemartins

Interesting. Have been wondering whether we’d go back to pre-Covid times.
That was my 31st GCSE results day - about my 8th? (soon to be 9th) GCSE German spec. Always nervous, but always lovely to celebrate with students who have worked so hard to earn their next steps. #edusky #mflbluesky #uked
I do a “Blog of the Week” recommendation for our briefing. I try to keep them short, practical & linked to some PD or focus areas that we’re working on. I very often recommend one of @pepsmccrea.bsky.social Evidence Snacks. They are perfect & provide wider reading links for the keen beans.
Another brilliant and timely post for the start of a new school year.
So many links to great blog posts and articles popping up that I can’t stop reading. How do people gather, save, collate these? Looking for a one-stop solution. #edusky #uked
Dachs & Pica the cats and Olive the 16-week old lab … no chaos here.
As a Germanist ... of course ... but

Two days into Blue Sky and I’m finding it all so refreshingly positive and inspiring. #edusky #BlueSkyM #uked
