A profoundly disturbing movie that still haunts me years later. So bleak everyone in Australia know the radioactive ☢️ cloud is coming and then they discover the signal was just a blind blowing in the wind.
You should watch Fail Safe next. 😬

Threads still scares the bjebus out of me. I was in municipal government and when the City Manager ordered all the emergency services out of town and opens the emergency plan binder it was to real
Almost stopped reading about a 1/4 way through. The motivation of the characters seemed weak and I was sure I had figured out the ending. I kept reading however. There were a couple interesting twists and the novel was serviceable entertaining.
19/50 read this year

A bit to relevant. A being with great power at his disposal decides to impose his own brand of peace on the world, by force is necessary.
The story is great. Don’t like that they sidelined #aquaman so early in the story. Not a big fan of the illustration style.

This is my first date at my house movie. Science and romance.
Not sure why it took me this long to get around to reading this amazing graphic novel. The subject matter is difficult but worth exploring in this format. The mice and cats actually sensed to add an emotionality to the story that a text only story would not.

Interesting story about family and finding out who you are and were you fit. The story telling was unique and I enjoyed the nonlinear way it was done. I felt connected to the characters and what happened to them even when they made the wrong choices.

One of my favourites. Own a physical copy
So say we all
It was like a Hallmark movie wandered into a theatre and was dazed and confused about what it was doing there. Everyone in Italy speaks English. Being a British orphan at age 10 will give you a cultured English accent. What was with the slow mo kisses🤷♂️

A tray of 12 banana muffins fresh out of the oven. Displayed on a counter top
Banana muffins fresh out of the oven. I’ve already eaten 4 😬
I’m felling a bit daft. I’m familiar with the Avignon papacy and the period of the three popes. But I’m missing the modern corollary. There is so much news it is hard to keep up.
Just realized I haven’t watched much lately. And Laura Living Backwards was a 15 minute short. Excellent but I guess not really a movie. I need to get back to the cinema

All true. I do like asking people what they are watching and liking.
A long noble about herders who built a giant strong monument. #stonehenge It reads at a good pace and the characters are interesting. It all seems plausible. Helps that I’ve been there and understand the scale. Not Ken’s best work, that would be Pillars.

This well written novel has everything: Chinese communist struggle sessions, classical music, Chairman Mao’s Cultural Revolution, the love of family, and so much more. A dense and fascinated read. #GGBooks. I listened to Bach’s Goldberg Variations as I read.

Don’t know there was a game. Been rewatching the last few weeks. Almost finished.
I’ll be 98. Just have to live through WWIII. And watch my blood pressure. But sometimes to look forward to.

I thought it was later this month. Thanks I almost missed it!
Lots of things are hard to explain to children. The Holocaust, quantum physics, and why a socialist preacher who said love one another and feed the poor was killed by the state.
30 is still more than none. Unless Bog Brother is telling us 2+2=5
So if you get voted out tonight you don’t have a say in the game. Is that right, Jeff? #survivor50 #survivor

Bwahaha
That is probably the correct use of that term.
Having to explain to my 91 year old mom what a poly is 😬 #Survivor50 #Survivor
I love these. Haven’t seen a new version for a while. Thanks, I guess?
